Latvia already has higher Internet speeds than us. Latvia!
This is so ****** up. If there is ome thing that can wake this generation up to protest maybe it's this since it will actually have an effect on everybody. Unlike the wars
Very well said. I agree with you. Always follow the money trail and you will find your answers. There's a huge movement, I mean people are calling and even camping out @ the FCC. These political 'leaders' are selling out for a measly 26k from the cable lobby. The only way this stuff changes is getting money out of politics, but that won't happen.

Though I can't say I disagree...Tell a dude they are systematically oppressing his people....... Nah B, it is not them it is us, we gotta get our act together
Mess wit his internet connection............REVOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not the time or the place. Let's keep this topic clean & clear so that people can stay focused on the important topic at hand.
Trust me, this has zero percent chance of this happening in our lifetime.

my godTrust you? The financed luxury vehicle while making $1300 a month guy? No. I declined your offer and will not be trusting you.
I work in home services for one of these cable giants and you guys would be surprised how scared companies are of Google.

My homeboy's dad works for Comcast, he stays saying "**** gets real when Google buys Fios off of Verizon"

pardon my ignorance, what does this mean?
You sir are very well informed! I hope you are enlightening others that need to here this. We need more people to wake up to what's really going on.
In the last two years alone, Congress has made many attempts to pass legislation that extends over the internet. SOPA, PIPA, and now this.
First the RIAA/MPAA tried to do it themselves, then they went to Congress, and now Comcast & Co are trying to do it through the FCC.
This will not go away until one of two things happens: 1. The old people who don't understand the internet are voted out of office or 2. We get money out of politics.
baffles me tooIt still baffle's me how greatly we out number our government/military yet we allow a select few to make decisions for us. Other country's don't play that. Why are we letting this go down?
We literally changed our financial models because of them.My homeboy's dad works for Comcast, he stays saying "**** gets real when Google buys Fios off of Verizon"

It means that Google is not doing Google Fiber as a experiment/side project. They are serious about becoming a major ISP
Comcast doesn't want to be forced to have to offer great service at a great price. They can compete against Fios now because Fios is kinda expensive.
But they got no hope of attracting customers against Google Fiber level service.
it takes time to roll out the infrastructure for fiberAll I know about google fiber is that it's incredibly fast and only available in a couple cities. What's stopping it from expanding nationwide and how would Comcast put it to an end?
