got my T3i on Wednesday and haven't been able to put it down.  Still using the kit lens.

I have || much knowledge when it comes to taking pictures.  I just shoot and hope the picture comes out good.

Yo Quick.....probably a redundant questions but did you shoot with an 85mm with the last couple of shots? Damn....I am realizing I want a long lens now.

^^^The 3rd pic is very nice from the lighting, postions of her face, the background being more washed out then the first. I would clone tool that little speck that represents her left eye. I kind of like it where it is just half of her face showing black, like the first photo.

Quoting from the Japan help thread:

So a photographer friend of mine in the Seattle area had an idea to set up photoshoots and charge 10$, and he is donating that money to Japan.

So I had the idea that I'll do the same for the NYC area.
I was thinking of going to Union Square, and bringing a small lighting setup and offering my photography for 10$ and I'll also bring my laptop, and donate to the niketalk page the moment someone gives a donation.

Anybody other Photographers in NYC willing to help me out with this?

Can someone school me on mega pixels. I'm looking to get into photography as a hobby and I'm not sure how much emphasis I should put on the amount of mega pixels available in the DSLR I purchase. I'm currently looking at the Canon Rebel models. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
