What are the the top-5 most ICONIC beats in hip-hop?

Some of the tracks being mentioned are great songs but I don't think necessarily have a timeless instrumental. Anyway, in no particular order:

C.R.E.A.M.

T.R.O.Y.

Gin & Juice (but ultimately G Thang/D.R.E./Forgot About Dre are all up there)

Shook Ones

Down For My *****s

honorable mention to: Here I Go, Hail Mary, etc.

Eric B & Rakim - Paid In Full (the Coldcut remix but just for the "Pump up the volume" and indian chant samples)
Mc Lyte - Paper Thin
O.D.B. - Shimmy Ya

can't think of any.

give an example.
Same here, I couldnt think of any Myself thats why I asked to see if anybody else could.

When I came into the thread I wanted to say 2pac "Dear Mama", but then thought that the overall song
was iconic imo, but the beat? not so much, well to Me at least. So I just was wondering if a song
has the ability to be iconic but the beat isnt, is it possible for a beat to be iconic, but the overall song not?

Anywho

My picks for top 5 most Iconic would have to be:

T.R.O.Y.
Hard Knock Life (seen someone else put this, great choice)
Shook Ones
Grindin
Nuthin but a g thang

Honorable Mentions:
Ice Cube - It was a good day
Will Smith - Summer Time

These answers did not disappoint. I came in here thinking, "yo if shook ones is not one of the first responses......."

Also with the question of a beat being iconic but not the song I can only think of 1 example. sample that was in like every song in the mid 2000's.

Dialated Peoples "Worst comes to worst", Ludacris "Growing Pains", Jaheim "put that woman first"

when you hear the beat, you don't really associate it with any particular song. the original song was from william bell, It was a top 10 R&B hit in the 60's but most people wouldn't associate it with an iconic song, but it is an iconic beat.

First Wu beat I thought of. I don't find the beat for C.R.E.A.M. to be as iconic as the song.

"Shimmy Shimmy Ya"?

So simple but so raw.

Can't forget "Supa Star".

Thought about mentioning this.
