What are the the top-5 most ICONIC beats in hip-hop?

U Don't Know - Jay-Z

I Really Mean It- Dipset

Ruff Ryders Anthem

Just a couple to add to the list. No matter what type of music you listen too you know what these joints is about. I know there's definitely more though !

Beastie boys- intergalactic
Beastie boys- new style (beastie boys known to let the beat....mhmmm dropppp!???)
Beastie boys had some damn cuts man

"So What'Cha Want" is up there too.

I already dropped Paul Revere. Could throw Brass Monkey in too.

Cadillac Tah "Pov City Anthem"?

That **** was everyone's 2way pager ringtone for a good minute.

Not sure anyone would call it a classic song though. Or maybe they would?

Not a classic, but that beat had my 2 way going

How bout this forgotten gem

This song is a DEF a classic

Pharoeh MOn
"It's OK" is my **** but it's about as classic as "Pov City Anthem"

Hell if that's the case put this right with them

My point was Pov City Anthem had an iconic beat but wasn't an iconic song. That is what I was responding to.

I'd put Simon Says up there no doubt for that beat.

I just don't personally think It's OK has an iconic beat as much as it's an dope song.

I'd put Watch For The Hook in the iconic beat category before It's OK. Maybe 85 by Youngbloodz.

The iconic Dungeon Fam **** to me though are joints like Cell Therapy. Spottieottie.... **** like that.
