90s through early 2000s had transmission, steering and braking problems but all improved. the 2008 fusion was motor trend car of the year and ranked very well in consumer reviews

Sounds simple, but these are the realist words in this thread. I wish I'd listened when people told me this when I was around OPs age.

Word, it really is not bs. I'm glad I kind of figured everything out when I was starting out college and really dove into it and gave my full effort. This is why you listen to elders, these dudes got wisdom. Young dudes just don't understand until they get to that point where most of the time, it's already too late.
