2012 gtr runs a 11.2 1/4
zr1 11.5
May I ask what source listed the ZR1 at 11.5??
A ZR1 with a good driver and NO mods is capable of a 11.1. Most sources list the car as 11.2.

Now rumors are the new Caymans might have a turbo'd i4, problem is it will lack low-end torque. I love cars but a tuner I am not but iirc turbos can take time to spool up (turbo lag) but for the most part that is mainly a problem with smaller engines like i4s and I doubt that is the main reason they stayed away from it on the GT3. So for the most part, a NA 6 cylinder > Turboed 4 cylinder, then again of course Turboed 6 > NA 6 but a NA 8 > Turboed 6 and so on...
Again, I could be wrong on that and I am sure there are car heads here that can explain it much better.

the video you posted
Oh man, I feel like an idiot.
Edmunds numbers seem awfully high for both cars. They said the GTR ran an 11.8 !!
They must have been testing on an 110 degree day with crappy drivers to get those kind of numbers. lolz

How so? Outside of them using a Z06 instead of a ZR1, everything seemed ok for the Best Driver's Car.

I was talking about the fact that OP called it the "Worlds Greatest drag race" but it had a m1? (could have used a m3) a cayman? & a Lotus? Half of the cars in the race weren't serious compettors. I saw a race on YouTube once with a SLR Mclarren, Lambo, Ferrari, R8 & other sick whips. I was just a bit disapointed in the choice of cars for the "Worlds greatest drag race" Originally Posted by bboi4lif3

But dude, I got a question and you're a Porsche enthusiast so you probably know. What are the benefits to the GT3's naturally-aspirated engine as compared to a forced induction one? All I know is that it produces a unique sound... people are always saying the GT3 is great because it's a high-revving naturally-aspirated car. What is so good about that? I know the benefits of a NA engine include better reliability (not always the case though)... and forced induction usually has better fuel economy. So what's good with the NA engines in the Porsche?

Can you post the video? Not that I'm doubting you, but I actually want to watch it.
I think it might be this one.
