Yes I used a seam ripper. Didn’t trust anyone else to do it. There are certain corners and edges that were stubborn, so I just used the blade of the seam ripper to cut the stitching which resulted in a very small hole or tear in the fabric in some spots. I didn’t care because the mesh numbers...

A bit of a restoration project. Stripped those god-awful twill looking numbers. Starting to think Nike taking over was a good thing. At least they’re making authentics pretty much identical to what the players wear.

Np! Yes, the first photo is a 2nd gen adidas Swingman (which are the best swingmans imo). It’s hard to see the difference even with close photos, but if you have them in hand you can feel the difference for sure. Ok, that’s pretty bad…lol.

I think the new Nike authentics are superior to the old swingmans. The Vaporknit material is better and while most of authentics are single stitched - they are kiss cut, so it’s not exactly the same as a Swingman stitching wise. That said, they don’t feel as durable or as well constructed as...
