I've put maybe 1500 in my 335 not running downpipes , and I've pulled on a few e92 ///M. I also have the lovely added weight of a vert. I completely agree on a road course the M has it. In a drag race it would be hard for a challenge for a M to beat a basic jb4 335i. I'm not comparing the two...

Oh if a RC 350, should be comparing next to a 335.  Not sure how funds are for maintenance on his end. But the lexus may be the better bet. This is coming from a avid BMW person.

Completely agree when it comes to the e46. I have a e90 and e93 now, and I am still planning to get my hands on a e46 ///M. Never had one and ALWAYS wanted one. When I decided to get my e93 I consider the M, but couldnt bring myself to fork over the extra cash for a less powerful machine that...

Glad i decided to check this thread out. Now I know when the blue ones, and the infrared ones come out not to BS. I was able to cop a pair of haystacks DS for 100. I considered trying to do that for the rest as well, but guess that is not a good idea.
