The ZF2 soles are both 12.5 in the Platinum/Diffused Blue/Football Grey/Bright Crimson. The Streak FK upper is size 13. However, the Lunareipic is only a size 12! They run rather large. Any racing flat upper, you're going to want to use 1/2 size larger than the sole you're putting it on...

Just got my latest pair of ZF FK back from him, really liking the weight of the streak 6 flynit upper, but it's a tad wider than I really like. More Lunarepics as well. Heavier and more heel support, but much better fitting than the streak. I put 300 miles on the last pair of Lunarepic Zoom...

Just curious, why would you think that would make you more efficient? I see people taking about that all the time, but there is no evidence that would make you faster. If you reduce the stack height, you would reduce the "bounce" (lessen the efficiency of the shoe). I have raced 5K and done...

I would ask them why they continue to use uppers that aren't great! The streak 6 upper, which they prototyped would have been fantastic, or something similar that is light, has a real tongue, and is very form fitting. I think they nailed the ride for the most part, but I would also ask why the...

I did not. I raced the 8K. She did the 15k as a workout, then did another 8 mile tempo right after she finished.

This is from the Shamrock 8k in Portland yesterday. I was next to the BTC crew at the start and of course noticed the 5% (or VF Next). They look much better in person than all the spy shots that have been posted. The upper looked very form fitting and not sloppy like some of the pics I have seen.

Would make sense given her foot issues. Wonder what's the deal with Cragg's shoes? Old mesh upper from Gen1 VFs on the current midsole or elite midsole? Interesting upper choice if so. Haven't seen any other elites using that.

From the test race last weekend in Atlanta for the Olympic Trials marathon, etc. 5% prototype, regular VFFK, very secret prototype with huge zoom x stack with rumored air bag and plate.

Just your imagination. Same exact foam. Zoom X has more energy return than any foam ever tested, why would they put a lesser and heavier foam into the VF? The only difference in the midsole is the grooves to prevent creasing, which added just a little firmness. Also, with the upper providing...

I'm not sure speed really matters. I think if you pronate a bit, Gen 2 is better and more stable, but if you supinate or totally neutral, Gen 1 is fine. I pronate way too much to run much past 50 miles in the Gen 1 before they break down, so that's why I'm a bigger fan of Gen 2.

Regarding "lockdown", it's not just the lacing and securing the upper to your foot. Gen 2 has much better overlay support in the heel, which is what most are referring to as lock down. Your foot is much more secure in the shoe and the upper itself is providing more support. The midsole is the...

I never went over 175 on the originals. They just got hard and my Achilles was really feeling it. The sweet spot with the most cush and protection is about 150 miles. The new ones with React, I put 350 on my first pair, and they were surprisingly good until about 300 then I could feel. As a...

From Letsrun.com race preview: It will be interesting to see how aggressive those guys are; remember, there is still a 100-million yen ($900,000) national record bonus from Project Exceed on the line, though the record is 26 seconds faster than it was this time a year ago. Osako, who already...

Will be interesting to see if Suguru Osako continues on his improvement curve. Sub 2:05 might be possible with good pacemaking and weather. Too bad Bekele is out. I'm sure the Japanese fans are excited to see their national record holder race on home soil!
