San Jose is cool. The downtown is hustle and bustle. There will people everywhere. Taxi's are very affordable. If you're trying to have a wild time, visit Hotel Del Rey.

I'm not sure how the education guidelines work. I actually used journalistic activity as my reason.They are not strict at all once you get to Cuba. They only asked what category I was in once. I wouldn't go to Cuba solo. At least not yet. I'd go with at least one other person.
I flew from Fort Lauderdale. It's possible that you could qualify for education or people to people. You just have to plan it right. Message me if you have any questions.
