The trials pairs retailed for $150 and they had both the red and blue versions available, but you were randomly given a color rather than being able to choose. They were also doing the option of steam fitting, which was basically steaming the shoe so the upper would mold to your feet.
Here's a...
I definitely agree with you dbao. I was on my social media dashboard (which I use for work and also has my Twitter feed on it) when game 7 ended. The tweet popped up on my dashboard a solid 30 seconds before I got the SMS update, so that means if you were lucky enough to see it online you had...
^Exactly. If they start painting them that way again (I'm sure can, I'm just guessing they stopped because it became to expensive), I'd gladly drop $200+ on a pair of IIIs.
Bottom line, if you're going to charge $250 I'd expect it not to crack. You could sell me $250 IIIs and IVs all day long -- if you could guarantee me they aren't going to crack.
I just got a pair yesterday and here's some things I noticed about them:
They fit pretty true to size, if you wore a 12 in last years IIIs you'll be a 12 in these. The suede is top notch, brushable suede and the hidden seam on the toe look great with this materialThe strap is very thin and...
Nike produced size 7....pic on pg 80. I can imagine that size will be hard to grasp tho.
Patta announced a size 6 I believe. Smaller lesser, known boutiques size runs would stop at a size 8 though.
Not by Nike's standards though. Their marketing push (in general) is focused on LA, NY and Chicago, which is why it would make sense for those cities to have both colors. It would be very interesting to see shops in other cities getting both colors, but now that I think about it Toronto would be...
Spots in Toronto? Originally people were talking about either a) Chi only or b)major cities only getting both colors. It would be interesting if spots in Toronto are getting both colorways. That might open it up for other cities as well...
Really wish the Soars (and other OG-like colorways) used the traditional LE mesh instead of the open mesh. Would've lead to a lot more purchase for me...
The reds are a very limited release. State-side they'll most likely be at Undefeated, Blends, Conveyor and a total of about 10 other shops. I believe US retail on them is 80 bucks.
This is by far the best I've seen these look. In person the sole is MUCH closer to the shade of the upper, which makes them seem pretty awkward since it seems like it's all one color.
