man, i hope these hit iD. my feet are impossibly wide for nike running - going a whole size up to 9 was still a tad narrow, and anything past 9 makes the dimensions ultra funky.

He's talking about the material that forms the tongue of the shoe, where the laces are secured. Most people found the torch sleeve on the ZKV/ZKVI to be perfect and the power stretch cuff on the ZKVII to be on the thin side.

My local sports authority has the 3.0 men's in black and grey. I saw the soar/deep royal at my local FTL. I really prefer the soar, as it just pops more. Perfect for summer wear imo. Deep royal is pretty similar to the deep royal FR2s- the volt DF doesn't complement it too well.

Copped the Black TBs from NDC, can't wait to rock Kobe VIs on the court again.

If the iD release is 3/5, is it safe to bet the retail versions will be out by then as well?

You all know that London will be hosting the Olympics this summer. Beijing '08 brought us the Hyperdunk, and Nike used the WBC '10 to push out the Hyperfuse. I know there's some Elite versions of shoes planned for release, but I wonder if Nike has something else up its sleeve...

I get new shoes for indoor basketball once or twice a year. I play 1-2 times a week indoors. For outdoor basketball, I have to get a new pair every few months (I wear 'em until they're trashed, rotation of one). I play once or twice a week outdoors.

Do y'all think that Nike will be dropping more Supreme editions? Kind of hard to believe that it will just be Del Sol/Concord, given how hard the marketing is pushing the #KobeSystem. (I know the YOTDs are Supreme too, but I'm referring to GRs).

Those are apple boxes, used on set to prop various things up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_box My guess is that the photographer is framing the picture from the torso up, and they didn't want Kobe to tower over the other dudes.
