Jordan brand is getting closer to this by restocking the breds. While it's not near them being out all the time it is good to see that even casual Air Jordan XI fans have more of a chance of purchasing them off the shelf than from a reseller.
Having the fabric be the upper allows them to do whatever design they want on it. It's like a blank canvas. This even allows them to print silhouettes of previous Jordan's to make a hybrid of sorts. We all know Jordan Brand loves the hybrids! Below is what the Air Jordan XX8's and the Air...
Classic car salesman technique. Starts out high, bid back and forth, they still make a nice profit in the end. If the 2012's started at $225 and went down to $100 at outlets, lets add to the starting price to make the outlet price higher.
From a business standpoint, it is interesting that a new shoe, recently released, sells out and they don't replenish the supply. So instead of selling more shoes, and making more money, the resellers are the ones making the money. A shoe purchased from a reseller probably would have been...
Before you give me stone faces please hear me out.
I love the XI's and wish I didn't have to stand in line for days or pay 4 or 5 bills to get a pair from a reseller. This is not a complaint, I would just love it if say the Concords were just on the shelf anytime and I could buy some to rock...
Other than price, what feature or technology do these have that will trickle down to other basketball shoes? Jordan's used to set the standard, then all would follow or the technology would trickle down to "lesser" shoes.
I don't remember the last time this happened. It's been the other way...
I just hope they don't throw foamposite on the 2013's, or it will cost $235+. First and last time I paid $200 for Jordans were the Air Jordan 17's. Not worth it at all. I still have the briefcase though. :)
The Proplate Zoom technology made me think about the Carbon Comfort Control Plate that was in the Air Jordan 18's. It was an orthotic that was built in to help with comfort and helps "prevent fallen arches and provides stability and support." This is according to the Driver Manual that came...
I'm ready to see more of them. I'm ready for the Air Jordan to be the pinnacle of shoes. I'm ready for the Air Jordan line to have the best and latest technology. I know this is wishful thinking, but I hope proplate zoom is not a gimmick and is something that makes a difference.
I agree with you about more Air Jordan XI's being released for consumers. I wrote a post back in 2008 about how the XI's should be out all the time like the Chuck Taylors, http://niketalk.com/topic/108627.
I would just love being able to wear a pair to play basketball in. I didn't get the...
I'm with you on the XV's. I had the black ones and I really liked them. I hope they turn out better than the pictures make them look. Other than the 2011's, Jordan Brand has been striking out lately on the Air Jordan line.
In the past, new technologies would be showcased in the Air Jordan line and trickle down to other shoes. Those shoes would also have the highest quality craftmanship and materials. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. The Air Jordan line also was about trying to tell a story behind the...
I'm really feeling these. There are so many colorways they can do. I loved the KD3's, but these will continue on the great beginning of an affordable shoe line.

I got the black pair and then I bought the white pair. The black ones don't look that bad, but they white ones make them look like hospital shoes sincethey are completely white. I got them from Eastbay. They were way marked down.
They are actually quite comfortable, but there is some extra...
