Nike's debuting the Chicago Marathon gear with a sneak-peek this weekend, hopefully there is a Zoom Fly or Vaporfly 4% in the mix...one store in Chicago will let you pre-order stuff early if you show proof you've been training for the race with your 20-mile run...
I just retired my Elite 9s after 250+ miles (replaced them with the new Zoom Flys), great lightweight and speedy runner. Totally recommended if you're a midfoot or forefoot striker (heel strikers will not benefit from it much since the zoom air is in the forefoot).
If you're around size 11-12...
Looks like the major problem is the rear seam stitching for the sock causing rashes and soreness in the Achilles. Thicker socks can't alleviate the problem as it will disrupt the ride and take up already precious space in the shoe. Otherwise, they seem to like it a lot despite its major flaw...
Didn't see this posted, but all y'all ready for Tech Knit...?

(I'll wait for the clearance sales myself :lol)
Anyone in Chicago the Nike booth at the Chicago Marathon Expo at McCormick Place has the Flyknit Racer Oreo 2.0s.
Was about to cop a pair of sz 10s but passed, as I wanted the Chicago Marathon edition Zoom Streak 5s more as a souvenir shoe instead. I couldn't get myself to justify getting two...
Missed out on #techfleecegate, finally able to jump on a deal for once...thanks NT =)
Ordered both M and L in the carbon heather shorts...will return whatever doesn't fit.
Performance-wise the outsole is very similar to the 2 so you'll be in familiar territory with the 3 as far as grip goes. It rewards you even more if you're a mid- or forefoot striker since the cushioning is a little more up front. I didn't have much issue with the rear collar on the 1s and 2s...
Update: did a 4+ mile run in 3s this morning, toebox felt snug but the flyknit did stretch and mold to my wide forefoot. Kinda feared that the forefoot flywire would cut deep into my feet but it was fine. It felt quite supportive, actually. Overall I had a very comfy run in them once they felt...
Nike didn't make a roomier toebox this time...they actually made a smaller toebox using even less flyknit.
The tightness on the toebox for me is that Nike didn't put enough flyknit material on the 3s to wrap around the outside forefoot.
Here's a pic with the 1s on top, 2s in middle (this is a...
Got a pair of the red Flyknit Lunar 3s at Niketown LA yesterday...they were movin, seems like black was the one most people were trying on.
With all the hype of the 'larger toebox,' tried them first in my TTS 9.5...nope, still too small for my hobbit feet :lol
Ended up getting a 10, same size...
I ain't gonna lie, I wouldn't mind picking them on up the hella cheap if I'm gonna stock up on an extra pair or two of 3s strictly for running...did that with ugly colorways of the 1s and 2s when I found them on the clearance rack for like $50 or so.
Yeah, I ordered .5 size up in the 1s and 2s before myself, making me hesitant to just order the 3s online sight unseen after watching the video.
I'll need to try these in-store before I can decide on what size to get, especially since the 3s are going to be my new ride for a race next month.
My wife loves her HOA bubblegum/grape AM90s...they're now quite beat from the years of her rockin them, I know she's down for another fresh pair if they ever release again.
