Again, people only thought the 2000 election was controversial because of their ignorance to our electoral system. If they knew how our system worked, theywould have never complained. What was controversial about 2004?

It's not so much that they are fighting for a lesser of two evils. This is the final straw for most of these people, who have been oppressed by thegovernment for 30 years. In Iran they are denied many of the basic freedoms we take for granted here, and some people in this thread are so quick to makejudgements against them.

It's not so much that they are fighting for a lesser of two evils. This is the final straw for most of these people, who have been oppressed by the government for 30 years. In Iran they are denied many of the basic freedoms we take for granted here, and some people in this thread are so quick to make judgements against them.

So they want to overthrow the government? Thats cool, but then what?

I won't even bother with a response to this.

Most recent reports are that the Basij forces are at all major hospitals and taking down names of all the wounded protesters who come in for help. They havealso apparently closed down and blocked a majority of foreign embassies in the area, and have tanks rolling down the streets of Iran.
