I remember another 6'9 guy with a great physique that I wanna say all but two GMs in the league slept on before he finally peaked...

no hyperbole, I think Young can be and will be that good. No one needs him to be Dirk Ibaka or some create-a-player. But if he can do what he did in school making effort plays and running the floor well defending. SIGN THAT MAN.
One of the worst comparisons I have EVER seen on NT.
Why they dark skin brolic dudes?
Patric Young has short arms, low shoulders, short standing reach, he's a poor rebounder, can't block shots what on earth does he have to do with Ben Wallace?![]()
He was SEC defensive player of the year, a solid rim protector and and has the SAME wingspan (7'2) and is actually slightly taller than Ben Wallace (if I'm not mistaken Ben admitted he was closer to 6'7 than 6'8.5 without shoes). They both have a great build true but I'm not just blowing smoke or drawing some comparison because they're both dark skin. That's actually a pretty lame thing for you to suggest.
I've personally watched him play and improve every year in the SEC and what my original point was is that with the right coaching/development I could very well see him dramatically improving his game the same way that Ben did after a few years in the league and finally linking with Doc Rivers. But as I said a few posts ago I'm not gonna cape for dude any further because many of you clearly don't see the same potential I do. I hope he gets picked up though. Dude had a great motor and solid defensive awareness. With the right coach he could be very good at the pro level defensively.
