What do you all propose then? It's unfair, sure, but this was always a real possibility for any team once it was decided the season will go on. Again, not fair, but if it happens to the Steelers down the road, you'd want the opposing team to react in kind. Just cause someone tests positives doesn't mean they were being irresponsible. **** happens. And again, teams had to know postponement was likely heading into a season like this.

seems like the perfect year to test out 2 byes in the season

There’s such a longggggggg list of safeties who had to retire early or had their careers cut short. It’s amazing.

Kenny Easley
Sean Taylor
Kam Chancelor
Eric Berry
Bob Sanders

CRAZY list
Yea that's wild how many of the greats end up having their career cut short :smh:. Was a bit different in EB and ST's (RIP :emoji_pray:) cases but that generally seems to be the case so often for them.

Understandable though, the position's so brutal and especially for the dudes that made it their calling card to really make sure to punish anyone trying to make a catch down the middle or deep. Legit warrior **** :pimp:

It's what made them so great but also definitely contributed to their bodies breaking down :ohwell:

Same thing with your bruising power backs not named AP

yeah, agree 100%. Everybody should be prepared for this situation. Its the cost everyone has to pay to get this season off, and everyone gets paid.

If you gotta play 2 games in 5 days, so be it.

Maybe they can move another game to Monday to stretch it to 2 games in 6 days.

i can say this has been discussed by the league.......

Use a week 18 for any games that were affected by covid. If you're in the playoffs and dont need to make this game up, you essentially have a bye week. Push the playoff start back a week. It would work.

Super Bowl could also be pushed back a week. The logistics for this situation is much easier since fans arent really going to be at full capacity.

There's even a scenario where the Super Bowl is played President weekend! That would be awesome. 3 day weekend.

My dude Lenny. :nthat:

Damn so the Steelers are forced to have a bye week 4 weeks into the season, after they practiced all week. Now they have to play 3 straight road games as a result? Smh
