2024 NBA Draft Thread

This is definitely the year to have a late first round early second round pick if you aint picking 1-3. I dont see future multiple all stars after 3. Youre getting similar value drafting 4-30, most likely a bust or role player

Just a reminder, on most redrafts 10 years from today…you will look at todays picks and think “wow, most of these guys suck minus 1-2 players”

And most of the times those 1-2 players aren’t even top 5 picks

My official Houston Rockets draft list.
Dream scenario: Scoot Henderson
If Scoot goes 2 or 3: Amen Thompson
If something wild happens: Brandon Miller
Players I like and wouldn’t be too mad at: Cam Whitmore and Anthony Black

It's draft day and the Lakers are still holding onto #17:

Ecstatic - Cason Wallace, Kobe Bufkin
Content/Happy - Jett Howard, Jordan Hawkins, Dereck Lively, Noah Clowney, Kris Murray, Dariq Whitehead (trade down)
Iffy - Keyonte George, Nick Smith Jr, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Brice Sensabaugh

I took Scoot a few days ago to go 2nd at -200 something. Was before that Woj tweet about how they were gonna take Miller. Yesterday wanted to put even more on Scoot when he was like +200 something but got scared.

To me it just seems like Charlotte could trade back a few picks if they really don’t want Scoot. He’s a great fit with Lamelo and should be the pick though, IMO.

What are the odds we get another Fox-Haliburton situation with Ball-Scoot?

I'd still probably lean Scoot over Miller regardless.

In theory Scoot and Lamelo make up for each other’s deficiencies.

Worst case scenario if it doesn’t work is you make the Sabonis/Hali type trade.
