Oh, so it's a color and material thing that makes the WL wack compared to what BAPE did?

BAPE and JC Penny jeans went hand-in-hand. Wasn't a fan, but that's neither here nor there.

The thing with BAPE is they at least tried to add some originality to a super-borrowed interest concept. It was all color-blocking with them. It was almost an experimental design of sorts. It wasn't for me, but they were using Nike as a base to make their own derivative creations.

But this WL dude. Looks like he literally bulk ordered the latest batch of stussy fakes. Put these goofy-***, has-nothing-to-do-with-anything swooshes on them. And called it a day. This is flea market bargain bait. At best.

^This is funny to me because when I started coppin shoes in high school I would buy the wrong sizes by not knowing what my TTS was for that shoe. My first and last AJ1 Low I bought was a sz 11 and rocked em super floppy. I actually still rock those to wash the car or whatever, the laces are just tighter than normal and got clown toe LOL.

I was just straight up cheap. Whichever I think can possibly fit me at the best price. Which sucked cause many of the ones too tight got rip liners and the too big ones had big creases in toe boxes.

These WL shoes are fakes and trash. this clown just making cash from these gullible new collectors, because they can’t find or pay OG dunk prices.Comments like this below proves it..

I can see a few more WL wannabes pop up sooner or later after the craze for blatant copies. Design a new swoosh and add it to a hype model like jordan 1s and voila, we got a WL copycat.

I’ve gotta get this off my chest because I JUST SAW someone today get screwed by their local and it pissed me off. The thing that has bothered me the most about the hype has been the way I’ve seen some skateshops treat their loyal customers. Some these shops used to BEG for people to purchase things from them and plead with customers to stick with them through the “dead” period of SB. I remember seeing some people completely bypass purchasing from Nike.com to support their locals when Nike was destroying the customer base for shops. I’m seeing some of these same shops now treat loyal customers like trash, backdoor to new resellers and sell directly to Stock X themselves. It’s insane. I remember the “support your local” campaign like it was yesterday. Why do some of these shops think that this “new found interest” in SB will last forever? Have they not learned from the last go round? I hope some of these shops have their **** together because let me tell you, when this all calms WAY down again, they’re going to be scrambling for attention and sales because of how they handled this place in time. There won’t be any “support your local” campaign strong enough to encourage loyalty again after you’ve worked over so many people.

They "worked over people" because they backdoored some hypebeast dunks to the highest bidder, or made the best financial decision for their store, instead of backdooring the shoes to "loyal customers" the shoes for retail?

I'm sure if you was loyal enough to these stores (aka you spent enough time and money over the years) you got a crack at the Chunky Dunkys and the GDs, and whatever else. Problem is, soon as the hype shoes come out everybody suddenly remember that they been "the most loyal" customer because they once bought a hoodie at the store in 2010

Or they worked over people by backdooring in general, regardless to who...

You sound really dumb. Usually I’d let this rock, BUT I’ve got time today and I’m in the mood, so I’m going to pump your brakes and check you real quick.

1.) No, they “screwed someone over” by notifying them that they won a raffle and then they turned around and sold the sneaker to someone else just because. That’s a horrific business practice, especially when that person has been doing business with your shop for years. Furthermore, if you’re selling all your stock DIRECTLY to Stock X or screwing over your loyal customers, it will hurt your business, especially long term. You don’t seem that smart so I COMPLETELY understand why you don’t see that.

2.) “I'm sure if you was loyal enough to these stores (aka you spent enough time and money over the years)” Sir, are you smoking meth? If you press the “previous” arrow at the bottom of the page you will CLEARLY see that I’m not new to this thread, skateshops or Nike SB period. You have NO CLUE what you are talking about! I don’t need help with any of the sneakers you mentioned! Stop talking out of your *** and get it together. I’ve been supporting shops for YEARS, I’ve been directing people to shops for YEARS and BUYING from shops FOR YEARS. STOP THINKING you know anything. Move around bruh.

John00 John00 mm good perspective. I hadn't thought of that since I never had any ties to any local shops. It still seems like nike SB's got a choke hold on skate shops, like each skate shop barely gets a size run of GRs meanwhile jordans are stocked out the wazoo in every footlocker, dicks, jimmy jazz, shoe palace, etc. With Nike not allocating or producing enough to meet their stores' demands, they're once again hurting them.
