My friends contract for the next program is up in 2 mths, but they want ti switch phones now before the 2 mths is up. Is that possible to do for free or do you have to pay that etf?

i work at ATT i doubt your friend NEXT plan is up in 2 months, NEXT just came out in july, which plan did they join, the 12 months (really 20 months) or 18 (really 26 months) im assuming the the 12 months, so yea at the 12th month they can trade it and and just start over and a new phone, the remaining 8 months owed will wash away. so the big thing is if they are deciding to do the trade in do it at the 12 month mark, so you got the most value of the program, dont wait till the 18th month a do it.
so yea no ETF, and for the new phone they would just pay the taxes on the full retail of the full phone (example iphone 5s would be under 60 bucks
