I think I asked before but aren’t the holes squares instead of circles? The michaels one doesn’t have square hole punches right? I’m wondering if I should go the square hole route since that’s how they are. At least I thought

It’s a mix of both. I went with circle and oval. It’s so subtle to me it doesn’t make a difference.

It is a mix of both huh. That’s what I thought but didn’t unlace my pair. So the punch doesn’t have squares right? But it does have ovals? Bro I really appreciate you taking the time to answer all these questions I know you’ve answered a bunch of people me included. I’m thinking if doing squares if I can find a punch with all 3 variations.( circle square oval)It’s a mix of both. I went with circle and oval. It’s so subtle to me it doesn’t make a difference.

I really wonder if the holes will end up tearing out because of no plastic around them..I was looking online and found this kit for $19.99 that has the hole puncher as well as 2 additional tools to insert permenant metal studs around the holes after you make them and a bunch of studs too..But the main question is how would they look? I'm thinking not good. Would be cool if they had little plastic ones instead of metal

If you feel the area around the lace indentions on the 5 you should feel some sort of hard material to help support this customization. I believe the structure is already there so the holes won’t rip out.

No way it’s ripping. It’s thick leather backed with tougher materials.

That was so easy. Maybe 20 mins. Only punched out the holes in needed for laces. Didnt think the circles from the punch looked right. You can't tell they're circles once the laces are in.

You did good... If I were to do it I'd punch all the holes just to make it look OG... I do like the plastic replacement in the first few holes but the customizer asking for too much to do it lol

After much debate I’m deciding to go with the square holes where they should be. It’s very hard to find square punches especially one that small and with rounded edges but I got one on the way. Will definitely update the thread once I get it and see how it works out.
