Nice comparison as always man. Thanks for posting this.

Almost feel compelled to add the lines now. I’ve never added modifications or customized any of my shoes before but this just seems like an easy no brainer. Will post pics if I go through with it.
It seems easy enough. Im all about it but just worried about the smudging. Would it be something that has to be kept up on?

The colored pencil should stain the durabuck edges pretty good. Doesn’t seem like it will require much up keep after initial application from what I can tell. Even if it rubs off a little it should be easy to re-apply.

Hell yeah man right ? I literally thought the exact same thing as soon as I saw the idea here. I'm really not one to modify/customize either and like you said, it's a no brainer.

I got lucky and hit on one of the recent restocks so I have a 2nd pair coming in Wednesday. This is definitely happening on at least one pair.

Ya, too much damage to that pair in the vid. Shoes look a little beat up after that treatment.

In theory, scraping should be the best method but in practice one can easily permanently mess the shoes up.

As far as the chalk or crayon/paint, we'll see how that holds up...after all...its Spring and
raining out all the time now...

I'm n9w wondering what a light coat sprayed at a distance with my crept protect would do to these after using the pencil and letting it set for a day or 2 before spraying. I'd honestly have to read the can to be sure it's even ok for nubuck/durabuck or whatever. I bought it for my flyknit's and knew it was ok on those so I never read the can lol.

Nothing....it wouldn’t lock in the pencil work or extend the time before you would have to do it again.

The method did take away the luster if the gray but it's still there poster iron reshape. I didnt wanna get down as low as others. The right shoe I retouched it up.

Thanks for pics. I know you said you didn't go too low, but I can't even tell ironing took place.

Haha yeah I def know what you mean. Ive done the ironing method a few times with ajkos and they deformed the toebox cuz I was aiming for that super low OG look. That was canvas and it gave the toebox weird wrinkles and made me not want to wear em again but there is a difference. My pair was pretty good out the box.
