FINALLY! After 20 years, they're home. This shoe is NT. And it's fitting that I was able to get them thanks to the help of this amazing community.

Was a little surprised initially when you said you might not cop. Glad you got a pair!

The crooked Nike Air is definitely odd but everything else people mention as being wrong 99% of the population buying these will not care about or even be aware of. Besides, if you want this shoe, your only really wearable options are this or the 2012s and these are far superior.

The grayish lines looked good against the black parts giving it contour on the original and 99. The lines would have looked odd with the cdp and 2012 retroes with a jumpman. The originals and the 99 retro looked appropriate with the red behind the tongue, proper wings height, good nike air alignment, right toe box, good shoe height etc.

so we have the desire to put those original details on the 2019. its part looks, part nostalgia, part throwback.

Cdp IVs has the contrast durabuck. Only the ‘12 and ‘19 didn’t have it. It wouldn’t look right on the ‘12 with the use of nubuck

I THINK they might have done a restock on Eastbay this morning as they were showing them in a pop up add on another site I was browsing, and I clicked on them just out of curiosity and saw they had 7.5-9 in stock and 15-18. So they must have done a little restock at some point. I haven't seen anything on it and all is gone except size 18 as of 10 minutes ago. So...take that for what you will...

Wore these a few times since release and while I'm pretty satisfied, I noticed this developing today.

The sockliner seems to be wearing thin already. This was a very common issue on 99s, but it happened on the heel if you wore them loose. I haven't been wearing these loose and it's not in the heel this time, but rather the medial side of both shoes. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
