Ok, for those who have been requesting some of my old stuff, here goes. There are too many for me to describe each one for you, but if you have a specific question, I will try to answer it. I am embarrassed to show you guys some of this stuff, cause my technique has definately gotten better in the last year or so, but at least you can see the progression maybe, and besides, ya'll are my boys, right? Anyway, for the jump off, I got a little somethin from the future that I shouldn't even let you guys see, but it's old now, so what the hell. To understand it, you have to read the story first...
I will hit ya'll wit somethin new sometime soon I hope...
enjoy

ooooo

The year is 2012. The decline in the popularity of traditional sports has led to a lack of
physical fitness world-wide. Humans seem more concerned with day to day survival than
watching greedy athletes play, and with many recreational courts now charging high fees
to use their facilities, most have retreated to their homes and the on-line mental fitness
craze. Having predicted this decline in 2005, Nike began work on the Apollo project, as a
way to both bring people back to the world of physical fitness, and to prepare them for
their imminent departure to one of the new earth colonies on the moon. The Apollo
project led to the development of the Nike JUMP system, now set to launch. Through the
develomment of the volitile s-k-Y molecule, Dupont has created Springon, a reactive
membrane that reacts exponentially to an applied force. Nike has integrated this
incredible new compound with an in-house developed composite "leaf spring" and applied
it to a new breed of footwear designed around the concept of zero-gravity hopping. JUMP
uses the weight of the wearer to ignite the Springon compound, and funnels the force
from the impact area to toe off area via the complex leaf spring set up. Thus, the athlete is
able to hop, or bounce to heights of up to 8 feet, creating not only a new and exciting mode
of transportation, but also a free and fun way to exercise. The Nike JUMP Trainer features
heel and toe Springon, dual tranfer coils, integrated memory foam in crucial areas, and an
asymmetrical foot support structure anchored to the footbed and inspired by the shape of
the s-k-Y molecule. Cushioning is provided by wafer-thin slimAIR under and around the
foot. Fit is provided by a variable tension piping embedded in the medial support structure,
adjustable by a turn of the disk in the tongue area. Easy to use and fun as hell, JUMP spawns
a new era in sports and the world as we know it, revitalizing the human race...

Keep it up.

\nThis is by far the best sneaker post of the year. Alpha, you can't be praised enough for sharing your artwork with us, thanks a ton. I lack the adjectives to describe what I think. Ultra comes somewhat close, though.

This is what the 18s should have looked like...

Alphaproject, wasn't there a sketch of a shoe that would connect directly to the ankle, and is "intelligent"? I remember you posting them a long time ago...you also said that it's unlikely for them to be produced and if, they would be easily around $500. That's all I remember...

Look closely, Nike: Fila has this guy right now. Worried?

Definite archive material (so please leave the pics where they are currently located, AP)...but only after hundreds of posts full of praises.

the magnetic jordan... im curious of the specs.

since the release of the 16s, using the magnets to fasten the gaiter, ive wondered why nike hasnt used magnets in the alternate context.

over the last 5 years or so, millions have used copper and magnets in everything from bracelets to mattress's.

studies have shown a "healing" power from the magnets to cure/control arthritis, stiffness and many other ailments. wouldnt they springboard this information and use it in their top of the line shoes?

in other words, it could be the air proactive. preventative measures for icing the knees, feet, and ankles and putting a limit on time in the whirlpool.

ive often thought of this simple concept.

perhaps a challenge?

...only if you have the time.

ps. will it be obvious to us "in the know" when your stuff pops up in eastbay?

thanks AP, beaverton will always talk about the one that got away...

thanks for your continued support of niketalk.

All I can really say is WOW. This is truly ART. I mean I love shoes as much as the rest of us on here, but this is something else.

Much respect and good luck on all future endeavors.

do you really work for Fila? Are there any new fila's we should be looking out for designed by you? Has Jordan Brand or Nike really seen your designs? It's clear who the heir to Tinker's throne is, and it ain't the guy that designed the pitiful AJ18's. Keep us posted!!!

Hey, those are just too nice. How I wish Nike would scoop you up. Do you think you could make a shoe for Paul Pierce? If not, that's cool. I realize you're a busy man! Once again, dope pics! Thanks!
"Hi, my name is Shaquille O'Neal, and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) TRUTH! Quote me on that, don't take anything out. I knew he could ball, but not like this. Paul Pierce is the Truth" - Shaq, after the Truth dropped 42 points on the Lakers on March 13, 2001

AP, hold up. Give me a minute to pry my jaw off the floor. You work simply amazes me. Not only do you have skills with a pen, but ingenuity and imagination also. I hope Fila jumps on your back for their new models, because I'm sure I'll be buying your work.

AP, not only do your designs look sweet, but they are quite innovative. Whenever I draw shoes I dont think about function. Just looks. But you got the whole shabang. The mind, the talent. I envy you. I am sure alot of other nters do too.
You guys have it real easy. I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and your going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you. - Blume

You never cease to amaze me. Everything is incredible, but those VC designs are just something else. Innovative is such an understatement.
