The only thing about the hobby right now that I don't really like are the narratives that are pushed by influencers about players that people use to justify prices.
I understand at the core it is fandom which is inherently built upon emotion and not exactly rational thinking, but when you use the reasoning that because Luka's base prizm is 2k in a PSA 10 so in turn Trae Young's base prizm in a 10 should be more expensive is dangerous.
Then in the same breath they will say '"Collin Sexton's cards aren't worth anything because the Cavs don't win enough games and he doesn't play any defense". Like him and Trae Young aren't both offensive minded small guards who are bad on the defensive side of the court on teams that don't win.
I'm not saying Collin is more talented than Trae because I don't think he is right now there is just a lot of bias being pumped into people's opinions about players to influence prices in my opinion.

This hurts....... (Not mine btw, saw on FB)
He bought this this case on a PRE SALE, late 1999, placed it in a Safe. $1,400 give or take a few bucks.
Now? He could sell that for 40-50K.
eBay sold auctions for the box are at $3500 tho...what am I missing?
