FlawlessV- Bro, thanks so much. Your comment means a lot to me. Your piece looks amazing as well. Acrylics?

nocomment6- That piece with the fruit and glass really turned out nice. what type of oil paint/medium do you prefer?

Wow! Just got done going through this entire thread, and I wish I had come across it sooner. To quote and comment on all the pieces I liked would make up athread in and of itself at this point. I'll just say that there is some phenomenal talent in here! As shameful as it is to say, I haven't drawnanything since college. It's just something that got tossed to the way side as life got in the way of living. Here are some pieces I did back in senioryear of high school. I put these up in my "high school shoe design sketches" thread, but they're probably more fitting in here.

This first piece was mostly done in pastels with some colored pencil, and a touch of paint for the white highlights. I was a wee bit obsessed with the futurescenes from Terminator, and found a small version of this storyboard pic in a Terminator magazine I picked up. I felt compelled to make a huge version of it,and here we are. Though it's gotten tattered around the edges over the years from constantly moving, and not having anything to really keep it protectedwith.

This is poster sized, so I had to photograph it.

I had exhausted every art class you could take in high school, even repeating "Studio Art" which you could do 2 times. The only thing that I had nottaken was painting, on account of never having painted before, and being afraid to try. But my teacher, who I had all throughout high school, kinda pushed andchallenged me to take it, saying he was confident I'd do well. I guess I have him to thank for the following pieces.

This first one is in oil. It's the first paint medium we worked with, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The paint would stay wet for days, so it was easy togo back and change things I didn't like. Of course, being I took on a daunting project, I ran out of time before I could truly finish it. There are a lotof things I don't like on it. MJ's ear needs touching up, and his jersey and the shirt over his shoulder looks horrible. Scottie Pippen's handalso lacks detail. Some day, I'll go back and finish this. BTW, when I started doing this piece, MJ had 3-peated, and was wearing that hat. He announcedhis 1st retirement while I was in the middle of the project, so I decided to white out the hat to just leave him as a champion, and not reflect a specific timeperiod/era. I scanned this in, and it really doesn't look nearly as good as the original. The scan really brings out the canvas texture.

Next, we did watercolor. I didn't like this nearly as much. The paint dried very quickly, and it was much more difficult to blend and make look realisticthan the oil. Never the less, I'm fairly satisfied with the outcome. And yes, painting the AJ VIs was one of my favorite parts.

I had to photograph this one, as well.

That's all I can find right now. I have a bunch more sketches buried somewhere. If I come across them, I'll post them up.

Birthday gift for my girl....pastel chalk & colored pencil. This was my first ever color chalk drawing.

I hate to sound cocky, but I don't think anyone on Deviantart can see me when it comes to making hot chicks in 3d.
