I wonder how much of the upper is tear away? Just the stripes or do more parts of it come off?

I thought that too, but looking at this pic you can see there is some separation on the right shoe where the tab with the kanji and the purple denim material meet.

Wanted these for YEARS. My size was pretty much a unicorn, so I am stoked to finally have found them in my size AND DS.
It's hard to capture how nice these are in pics, but here are a few quick ones. Quality is top, shape is top. The old GLIIIs are just on another level...New mold ones have had some nice colorways, but the old ones feel much better on foot IMO.
Honestly top 3 or top 5 for me after having in hand.

Same man! Wanted the Invincibles for years. Finally copped em off GOAT on NYE. Haven't seen em in person yet though since I had them shipped to PA to avoid taxes.
