Avatar, Overrated much..

finally watched it last weekend

pretty much agreed with everyone, visually stunning but the story was boooooring.
 
If you went into Avatar expecting some amazing plot, you're a moron. The appeal of the movie was the visual effects.

lol i was just thinking about this today. I saw it for a second time, and couldn't understand where those insane numbers came from. Besides visuals it was pretty average imo

Absolutely.  Although watching it on Blu Ray is still amazing, it doesn't compare to actually watching it in IMAX 3D.

I liked it, sort of, when I saw it in theaters, but I got it in my Netflix and could not bring myself to watch it again. I'm not sure why, but I had a physical aversion to rewatching it.

Visually it was stunning...imax 3D was ridiculous...but other than that, it was extremely weak...story was tired, dialogue was sleep inducing...

I spoke to my peoples about this flick and they kept goin on and on about how great the story was and I was crazy for saying the story wasn't original...I

They should have never released it on DVD, it should have solely been Blu Ray 3D period.
