Black Friday is not about poor v. rich. Their are tons of middle, upper middle, and even rich people that take part in it. Soccer moms be throwing dem hands for da savings too.
Just look at Victoria Secret on Black Friday, they attract some of the biggest crowds. Those women swarm the store like savages to save $10 on a bra. You got women in line that are wearing expensive clothes, and checking out with Platinum cards doing this too.
So you will find BF shoppers in almost every tax bracket
So lets not get on this start this "poor people are only poor, because of themselves" steez.
The thing is Black Friday shoppers is that the don't value their time very much, that's it. They line up on Thanksgiving cause they have to do that to get the items they want. They line up when they can, whether it be on Thurs night, or Friday morning.
They are not the reasons the stores are open on Thanksgiving. The blame for that lands on the store owners and execs.
