Except Moschino is an Italian luxury brand, and this Barbie was a $150 special edition that is already sold out. And the boy in the ad is supposed to depict Moschino's director as a child. The ad will have little effect on anyone.

It was a discussion. Both sides were arguing whether or not acceptance and desire are the same thing. I can see both sides of the argument

One means one thing and the other means another.

Sure words have definitions, but people also interpret things how their brain chooses to interpret them. Because a word has a definition doesn't mean that there can't be a discussion on how that definition is applied to real world situations.

The word FAT has a definition. But that doesn't mean there can't be a discussion whether or not ANdre the Giant is fat because there are different ways people interpret/apply that definition to real world scenarios.

If you are, how could you view homosexuality/transgenders as a sickness and not condone it? As a black man you know better than anyone what it's like to be hated, discriminated and judged for something you have no control over.
By not condoning the LGBT community you're essentially supporting the oppression and discrimination of those people.

The word fat has a definition but the labeling of it is always in comparison to something. Fat compared to what? It's a relative word when you're choosing to label someone or some thing.

Yes I am comparing them. It is only very recently that the gay community got the right to marry in all US states.
I see a lot of hate and ignorance towards the LGBT community on NT and it saddens me even more when that hate comes from people who have gone through and still go through racism, hate, discrimination.
It just baffles me how a black person can not support another oppressed community fight for equal rights and more respect.
