Catalina Island: best places to stay at and what to do?

will be going there soon and want to stay a couple nights
any good recommendations on hotels and activities?
never been there, its my first time and i want to see what are some good things to do

I've never stayed the night there but I did go ziplining. Also, if you plan on going to the beach, bring some water socks/shoes. Very rocky.
