I defended flat earth? News to me.

I tried watching one of these videos awhile ago. I couldn't sit through the entire video when the narrator began explaining how scientists created the "round earth conspiracy" to influence people slowly lose their christian faith. 

  

I have a few questions for the flat earth believers:

1) does the earth rotate or we're the center of the universe and our moon, sun and planets revolve around the earth?

2) when looking out of a telescope and I see Mars, is Mars flat? Am I looking at a giant painting of stars and round planets?

3) today in modern times, what is the point of the "round earth" theory?

I'm really curious to hear

but flat earthers are doing math differently and getting a different answer (the earth is flat). 3 plus 3 is always 6, no matter how you do it. It's not at all like doing math differently. There are rules and laws to mathematics, just like the universe.

yeah well they 'believe' in a model that goes against millenia of advances in science and mathematics. And you can say what you want but if you have studied either at a high level then you certainly know math and science are no bs. They explain and make sense of our surroundings, and have shown us that the earth is round. It has been accepted within that community for a long time, it's not a conspiracy. Saying the earth is flat is like saying 3 times 3 is 7.5. It's been proven.

1. They believe in a geocentric model which means the heavens revolve around the earth... So the sun & moon and stars revolve around the earth

2. When you look at Mars it's round it's just a celestial body in the sky.. Apparently we can actually go there because according to flat earthers we live under a some call the firmament.

3. The point of the round earth is to hide or obfuscate that there is an actual God... The old bibles And I gues Quran use to state that the earth was flat and we all lived under the firmament. If the firmament was actually ever proven to be real then it'd be irrefutable proof that there is a God.

You could literally get in a boat, go to this ice wall and jump off the eddge of the earth into outterspace with a gopro and stream all this live and not one person would believe the earth is flat. So i really dont know what you expect to accomplish here.

if someone did that, i would say...damn i was wrong all along. my mind is blown. however, in this day and age, with all of our technology, sheer number of ships and boats and the vast number of people and countries on the planet and we don't have pics/vids or incontrovertible evidence that the earth is flat....it's because the damn earth isn't flat. it pains me to believe that there are dumbasses that entertain this kind of nonsense. jeezus.

The ones I know aren't even religious at all, very much the opposite. Without sounding condescending, the 2 guys I know that believe this **** are very uneducated guys in their mid 30s and single. I really think they believe it because it makes them feel like they know something others don't which makes them smarter. I think they really do believe it's flat, but there is definitely some underlying issues causing them to buy into these wacky theories . They also believe every other ******* conspiracy theory out there. every one. But that's not surprising.

Yes math is law but they're are different ways of getting the same answer 24/8 and 36/12 both equal 3... So flat earth and round earth are both 3 because either way we live on one of them... The variables are just the math they used to get the same answers

But in this case wouldn't there only be one method? Division?
