Y'all feeling how I felt when I first seen Wolverine in an interview. Like, this lying muuhh...

All in all, white homeless men say same thing Bale says and has the same effect.

The Bale accent revelation in here . I guess that Batman voice will throw you off.

I don’t rock with this at all. There is this weird implication from what is being said that there is something unique about white males and their ability to achieve positions of power.

It’s not white that is the problem. It is literally that they happened to be the people that have the most systemic and historic power in this particular country. In other countries it is Black people, Mexican, Indians, etc.

What he wants is a true democracy where everyone has a chance to have their say (be represented equally). The only way this would ever happen is if we did some sort of stuff like jury duty. Everyone has to be forcibly included in politics and decisions are made that way. There is no such thing as equality when it comes to stuff like this. It is based on friends, family and community.

The same reason Mexicans have the construction game on lock down. White people have all the best industries locked down and that’ll only change from time and with continued extraordinary people like Barack who don’t take the status quo for fact and fight to push through it.

I like Bale as an actor, but let's be real here: he promotes this "inclusion" until it works against him.

Hollywood is full of people like this -- they're all about being open-minded as long as their positions are protected.

ALL OF THIS.

Not even just hollywood..but a lot of people that claim to be woke and all for 'equality'..until they start losing that juice. Until equality keeps them from getting jobs and restaurant reservations and tax breaks and they get pulled over for 'random stops'

then you get those savory white tears and the phrase..

 y'all really shocked Chris is English

Thread derailed

On the previous NT we had more editing control over polls and choices

Idris Elba blew my mind. I really thought dude was from Brooklyn or something.
Eleven from Stranger Things.
I found out Gary Oldman was a Brit about 2 years ago.
Mcnulty from The Wire for me

Eleven had me like wait..wtf...she imitating an accent? Til I realized it was real.

Same with Adele. I knew she was from the UK, but I thought she was one of those high so society bougie joints. She came out the UK hood like ELLLLLLooooo Bruh

there is no real incentive for powerful, wealthy white ppl to give up their power and wealth and there is no incentive for middle class and underclass white people to give up their fake "in club" memberships that the wealthy elite have given them.

there will be no equality unless the above happens. its not equality until we get what we're owed AND THEN SOME. period.

reparations would bankrupt this country but they should really come from various governments and towards black people globall to be honest and not just this one.
Bale ain’t turning down any roles so a person of color can get that role though.

My cousin used to live near him in Brentwood. Said dude is super laid back and hates talking shop. Drove like a mid 90's Tacoma and essentially lives in solitude.

A bit of this 'shoot the messenger' mentality is partially why we are where we are. We've spent more time discussing his own privilege and heritage as opposed to the point of his argument. Instead of it carrying, it's stopped in it's tracks.

Yeah it's a bit tricky. Reminds me of Leo speaking out against global warming but dude owns Yachts the size of football fields and privately flies in Brazilian models to smash in the US.
