Crazy sneaker line/campout stories

The line for that Designer pack at NTSF was insane. Some people bought the Halle Berry ones just to say they didn't leave empty handed haha. Had people spending like $600 on the street for the ESPOs lol.

Only "camped" twice in my life. Once I had to go to the store and lined up at like 6am for the cool grey 4s. I ****** worked at another location that didn't get them and the manager was like I'll put them to the side but you gotta be here with everyone else or I'll sell them.

When the DMP pack came out, it was like seven of us. Got there at midnight or 1am and stood outside chilling until 8am at PG Plaza. Never again but it wasn't that bad. We were just chilling and ************ but it will never happen again.

I think I could do a night camp out if I was prepared. All I really need is a chair, enough layers and a couple external chargers for my phone.

The only thing worse than camping out for shoes is camping out for phones. Like at least when the shoes are gone, their gone. Phones literally will be in Stock again a week later. So it's really just the hey I got it first syndrome. I'll wait til next week walk right in and get it for the same exact price. Or wait a few months and get it even cheaper.

The closest I ever came to camping was when I considered trying to get the Ray Allen XIII PE here 5 years ago. Didn't happen. Will probably never camp out for any product, especially a sneaker.

yea unless I was selling the phone I would never camp for a phone due to that. Plus the first few phones always have some manufacturer bugs to them

The last pair of shoes i ever camped for was spacejams in 2009. I remember the mad rush to get to the gate in front of DTLR. these dudes camping in the parking lot waiting to jump people coming out of the mall. :smh:

The first three dudes in line were me and two other large dudes thank god. They let one person in at a time and this 6 foot 6 dude who was cool with me and #2 in line basically regulated. People ran to the gate and people were smashed up all against it when dude was like YO I AM #1 THIS DUDE IS #2 THIS DUDE IS #3. BACK THE EFF UP. He waited until we went in and got ours after he got his and we bounced. Met the dude that day too.

But watching people literally fight each other for some kicks was it for me. I lined up to buy my one pair to wear. Everyone else in line was basically there to re-sell. The scene wasn't the same. It wasn't sneaker heads it was resellers. That was it for me

Never  well once for like 5 hours, this small shop was getting the Concords and told me and a few other regulars they were getting a few sizes so they'll "look out for us" on the low

Day of, it's me and 4-5 other dudes outside the store...he opens at 10am usually, he aint get there until almost 12...he says, "ok, give me $600 I have them on the way here from NY"

I walked away before he even finished talking. Never did business there again

Two stories of people always wanting a sprint race to the door

I've only camped out maybe 3 times in my life.

1. Jordan Olympic VII was dropping. Went early in the morning at Cumberland Mall in Cobb County (GA). 4 stores were selling them, so  it was enough for everyone. I think I was in the 30th place in line.  There were no police officers on-site, just mall cops trying to control the crowd.  So when the mall opened at 9am, the security was like no one can enter mall and you have to wait.  Someone yelled, "The Mall is official open, yall nothing but mall cops!". They took off running. SMDH.  First time in my life, I had to jump over a rail and take off running.  Ran through the food court, tables and chairs were flying all over the place.

Didn't even get my damn size but was able to get someone elses size. Took a 13 for myself, and sold it for a $75 profit an hour later.

2. This the last time I ever camped out.  The Columbia XI's were releasing.  Told my partner to be out there early since he lives 10 mins from StoneCrest Mall.  I beat him to the line at 4am. All this for a ticket to get the shoes the following week.  I swear we were like in the top 100 place. I already knew there was no way we were going to get tickets.  So I called my other homey that was at Lenox.  He said it was about 80 people out there. They all got sent back to the car around 5am.  So he sat in the car and waited. I called him back 30 mins later.  This fool was 10th in line.  I told homey at Stonecrest, I am about to bounce.  We got into a full pledge debate about where we were placed, and he believed that we would be able to get a ticket.

Long story short, I bounce on him and went to Lenox mall.   Get in line and waited about an hour. They started to move 5 people at a time.  So when it was time for us to go up the stairs to the Footlocker from the outside, a group of teenagers took off running to the stairs. SMDH.   They escorted all 15-20 that ran, out of the mall.  Even though 2 of them were in front of us in the line, they got escorted out. Luckily, the person that was running the show, remember us because we had a brief conversation w/ him while standing in line. We got our tickets.

My homey at StoneCrest didn't even get close to getting a ticket.

That's why I avoid lining up at malls, you can't line up before a certain time and then it's that running game :smh:

Funny you say this. My homeboy was walking out the mall, and someone was walking up on him. He pulls out the Glock and starts shooting in the air then hops in the whip.

This fool drops the bag with the shoes on the concrete

I was like why would even drop the bag. Hell, now they got the shoes.

I would definitely drop the bag and run for cover. It aint that serious to me but to some it is. People shoot each other over $200 sneakers.

He said he didn't see them with a gun but he was extra paranoid.

first and only time i camped was for the toro 4s.. after an all nighter of boozing heavily i managed to show up at a local store at 6am.  chopped it up with a few people in line, tossed the pigskin around waiting for the store to open.. managed to snag the last pair although it was a size 14 (im an 11).  went home knocked out, woke up and peeped Craigslist.. met up wit some dude at a local mall and did a size swap.. end/

I've been on a few and these stick out to me...

04' altitudes at NTNY.....line was 2 blocks long and dudes started fighting on line just before the store opened and NYPD came through on horses on some Wild West ish and shut down the release. I was on line for over 4 hours already smfh

6/11 DMP pack at GSP....camped for 8 hours, was first few in line and security decides to open up a different entrance instead of the one listed and made us line up in front of. Mad dash into the mall and I ended up striking out. Luckily my boy doubled up there and sold to me for retail :pimp:

Banned 1s at Woodbury Outlets....got there 2 hours early and wasn't many people there but still 1 per custie rule. I was walking into other stores and paying people $20 to go in and buy for me. I walked away with almost a FSR :pimp:

South Beach 8 at GSP.... Got there at opening and was only 30 people on line. Walked right in and was told we could buy as many as we want they had over 150+ pairs. I only copped 2 smh

I forgot what release but it was HOH 125th... Line was deep and some cat skipped the whole line showin off da hammer. I heard he did this on all major releases smh

this probably the best infield video how crazy camp out really is, the scene almost identical with zombie apocalypse theme movie
