Credit score system.. is just a big scam?

crcballer, are you a Dave Ramsey listener? Your viewpoint is very similar to his and I agree with what you're saying. I think that an argument can be made either way for/against credit cards, but for me, I'd rather not get comfortable spending money I don't currently have.

Myself personally, I choose to stay away from credit except for student loans, at some other point in life when I have a little more financial freedom I'll invest into a credit card

Interesting debate going on in here. I too tend to side with Crcballer as I have no credit cards and only owe 2500 in school loans. My ex GF is a prime example of the horrors easy accessi to credit can cause....she's drowning in debt right now.
