NYC rent laws guarantee me that lease, and da rent never goes up, and i don't plan on ever moving so...u do da math tiny.

Just because you plan on staying stagnant doesn't mean that everything around you won't change, NY is evolving at a ridiculous fast pace, if you somehow think you gonna get in the way of some one with real money Coming in and uprooting your **** so they can line their pockets with more cash, you have a huge reality check coming.

Leases are temporary....there is no math to be done, I guess ride the bull as much as you can.

That is actually happening to me right now. My street is going to be widened from 2 lanes to 4 lanes and a turning lane so they are going to tear down all the houses on my side of the street but Im good cause I BOUGHT my house from my parents and only owe 22K. My rent is only $380/month for a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bathroom. AND they just built a 3 story house across the street that they say will go for $400K. So Im good. My neighbors on the other hand rent their house. They gone be ahit outta luck when the developers come thru.

I'm a product of that. My parents left their rent controlled apt in Inwood to move me and my siblings out the hood and into a nice house in Jersey. I look back and consider myself fortunate because not many get a chance to leave the hood.
