Dead beat mom?

No. My mother is great and its unfortunate that some people arent in the same situation.

whats the problem between u and ur mother?

Momb dukes is cool as a fan... So is my pop...

I recognize their faults though... Some people ONLY see faults in pops and loves mothers as if she can do no wrong.

No, I have a great relationship with both of my parents. LOVE THEM :)

This is a spin off from the "respect your mom as much as your girl thread"
I saw some harsh comments, it's rare to hear of dead beat moms so I thought it was thread worthy.

I used to talk to this guy who didn't get along with his mom and I would always nag him about it, it irked me more than him.

You really made the thread though! Lmao.

Title pretty much describes my relationship with ma dukes. Pops is THAT ***** though.

My mom had me when she was 15 and dipped a year or so later and showed up every once in a while to say hello but basically only when she needed to relieve her guilt of leaving me and my little brother behind and when she did show up it was always some drama.

I saw her pull a gun on my step-mom once, pull a gun on the highway once because someone tried to pass her and all kinds of shenanigans. Needless to say, she had a coke habit too. She got married and didn't tell me about it or invite me to the wedding so all I got was a call saying "I'm married and moving to DC." :{ I was hurt. I mean, I never saw her, but at least I knew she was kinda local before the move. I don't even think I was 10 when that happened.

Then she had kids with a doctor and of course they got treated like royalty while me and my little brother (her first kids) got about a week with her a year. SHe eventually got a divorce from her second marriage and had a third set (one kid) and now she tries to call me all the time because she's old and lonely, but I don't take her calls. She's asked me for money recently and has all kinds of sob stories, but she left me and my brother to fend for our damn selves. We had to deal with all kinds of **** kids shouldn't deal with as a result of her dipping.

She's still an addict (pills now) and is annoying to talk to on the phone in the rare cases when I do answer her call. Her other son is doing well and is a cool cat. We're brothers, but not very close... Anyway he told me to never give her money and that she's a crack addict. :{

I'm honestly disgusted by her, but at the same time feel some sympathy, but I just can't bring myself to have a relationship with her. Oh yeah, she didn't contribute a dime or any time in raising me or my brother. Still have trust issues with women to this day because of her leaving. You know how some women have daddy issues. I had something like mommy issues for a while. I'm straight now though.

Thanks for letting me vent.

I have a bad relationship with my mother.

She's not a dead beat, but she is so paranoid I'm going to fail becaus of how her family went she treats me like I am a failure. Even when I excel there is always a point of failure on me to her. It gets deeper but I have no need to rant. I tend to keep to myself.

One of my homies has a sour relationship with both his parents.. there are times when they argue in public and I wanna say something, but I keep quiet.

His mom's a milf though.. I've even told him that lol

Me and my mom fight but it's all love at the end of the day.

wouldnt say she is a deadbeat, more of a control freak who fails to comprehend the consequences of her decisions/actions, she thinks just because she thinks she means well, how she does things is justified ... very complicated

its rocky ... not the best ill say that but we are both trying to work on it ... our relationship is better when we aren't around each other. all of her kids seem to feel that way as well.

When I was young my mother and I had beef. I was 17 years old kicked out on the streets. At the time, I never thought I'd see her face again. But there wasn't a woman alive that could take my mother's place. One time I was suspended from school and scared to go home. I was a fool hanging out with the older kids, breaking all the rules.I constantly cried with my younger sister. Over the years we were poorer than the other little kids. And even though we had different father's, when things went wrong we always blamed our mother. I reminisce on the stress I caused, it was hell. Hugging my mother from a jail cell. And who'd think in elementary?Hey, I'd see the penitentiary.

mine isn't a dead beat, just dead......................................................:(

15 years old back in 1996 said goodbye to her on a saturday evening, and never got to speak to her again. Life is short fellas, bury the hatchet and move on.
