Team used up all its energy last night against the Nets. Its a veteran team that's on old legs, so start expecting this on the back end of the backs to backs.

Kings last game was Sunday.

Our last game was 21 hours ago. Chill guys. Back to backs are tough, especially for an older lineup, and one with our 3rd and 4th PG's logging minutes. Relax.

Pretty sure Dwight and Pau looked great last night, and had no legs tonight. Stop goin crazy everybody.

THIS

I can no longer defend Pau :{ And thats hard to say cuz im a HUGE fan of Pau and his skills

But his name no longer holds any weight with me. And listen to me...its not because he is soft
or the lack of defensive or inside presence...or even the hustle...

Its those moments when all hell breaks loose and you have to buckle down...
Those high pressure situations....He continually vanishes in all facets...he'll automatically defer to Kobe....then D12
He just...I can't explain it....I can no longer trust him for THAT reason only...

Jordan Hill has hit that jumper outside of the free throw line a lot this season man. Do y'all watch the games or just post in this thread like u watching the game? Lol... The problem isn't on the offensive end for Pau it's the defensive end he is not a starting b/c he cannot guard the PF position. He's too slow and flat footed, and offensively instead of him shooting jumpers move him to the oak as a 5 let him post and pass out of the post b/c he is a decent passer. He can be a playmaker for our bench which is something we don't have right now.

We need Blake too, another shooter that can play with or off guys.

Good news is we now know that Morris can earn minutes. And signs of what Meeks can do when he gets looks from his teammates. Imagine if we had Nash seeing that hot hand tonight. Meeks woulda gone even more nuts. :lol

They had a lot of unforced turnovers and even dudes other than Dwight were missing free throws. Nobody other than Kobe or Meeks showed up.

Gasol :x. He really does not give a damn anymore and he really needs to hit the weight room.

Morris had a nice stretch of games but he is starting to show his limitations and his stupid play again. 5 Turnovers and does not really look for Dwight.

It was really inexcusable how little Howard was used today. The Lakers are really starting to miss Nash now.

Can they sign Pietrus already? Artest and Jamison are not going to get the job done.

Oh hey, by the way, the Nets are losing big to the Warriors........why yall think that might be?

There any back to back games in the playoffs? 8o ;)

Jordan Hill is not really a good replacement for Pau.. Let's be brutally honest. Great energy and role player. But as a starter for a Championship team. No.

But The way it could work with Hill logging more minutes is if we get some extremely solid shooters for Pau and turn a weak bench into a very good bench.

I say we need to trade Pau. With the caveat that we get a nice package that makes us deep.

If "fatigue" was used to describe the Lakers tonight, then this Lakers thread deserves the word "overreaction".

Ya'll acting crazy. Pau aint going no where, let this team play a week with the full arsenal and Mike D'antoni coaching before we start concocting trade ideas.

Yes Pau played bad today, but he played good last night? We going to trade him every time he has a bad showing?

Let's look at some positives....

1) Meeks broke out of his shooting slump and showed to be somewhat valuable to this team

2) Kobe's continuing to play amazing ball, and shooting a high percentage

Negatives...

1) Pau not playing to his full potential

2) Dwight played horrible, he deserves no pass

3) Players playing wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to many minutes, D'antoni needs to sub better

With that said, it was rough but everyone enjoy your Thanksgiving and look forward to trouncing the Grizzles Friday!

Go Lakers!

i know steve blake sucks but im curious to see how he plays under antoni. sometimes players play differently for different kinds of coaches

It's not an overreaction... How many games over how many years do we have to watch Pau miss most of his shots, make terrible passes, get blown by every big man on the court, not box out, and get overpowered for rebounds.

It rarely happened in 2008. In 2009 it happened sometimes. In 2010 it was a little more frequent. In 2011 it was occasionally. Last season it was once a week. In 2012-2013 it is becoming once every 2-3 games still.

When he's on he's :hat

But if I wanted a wet blanket to do nothing one game, then suck the next.. I don't have to pay $19million for that.

Gasol is not a very smart player. Divac, who was heavier and just as slow, was a better defender cause he used his brain.

Thid dude bodies up player that are good at driving and leaves open the ones that are good at shooting. I think he is very ineffective defending the inside because his upper body has the strength of a point guard. That is why players seemingly go through him all the time.

Dwight should take him to the weight room with him :{

In theory, Blake should get a lot of catch and shoots out of the corner, which is what he was good at in Portland. He always killed us with those.

If there are nights that Meeks doesn't have it, Blake "could" play alongside Nash. I wouldn't advise it, especially defensively, but if coach starts to install a zone (something we NEVER use) and puts the 2 7 footers out there with them, it could work for stretches to give Kobe an extra minute or two.

Let's just hope Meeks stays in rythym. :lol

Gasol isn't smart now. :lol

Ok, have at it ya'll.

ACB, Kings with a "statement" game tonight huh bruh? We should start preppin for 2013-14 now, no way we can recover from this statement game, in our division...... :lol

^ not smart. Is going way too far.

There is a way to be rational and think we need to trade Pau.

Going out of your way to call him not a smart player, or even a good player for that matter is not the rational way to go.

I acknowledge Pau is a masterful player. Who has a skill set few have. But he gives me no reason to think he can continue to be consistent night in night out with the occasional bad game (they happen) and play well enough through a full playoffs.

It has to be the right deal. 1 where we get a equal replacement... Or where we get enough to re-tool our bench into a deep team.

There is time to be wrong, Yes. And for everyone's sake I hope I am.

The question is how many games do we give him?

Hol' up... Dwight attempted 4 shots in 41 mins

I personally never said anything about trading Pau...thats really stupid due to there being nothing of value equal to him
It wouldnt benefit us in anyway...but believe me, the clutch Pau that we all knew and loved on those finals runs is gone

He has been gone for a minute and we all no it...its the same story...thats his weakness, he shrinks...its like he's playing
while drowning mentally & physically. But only in those high basketball situations...I would describe him as unreliable

Everybody knows we are keeping him not because we wont trade him, but cause we cant trade him
Theres nothing much out there equal..its kind of a limbo

And its not just this performance...its a collection...ive been paying attention to this for awhile now trust me

the way he just defers to kobe and the rest so much just irks me...the way he just goes away from any contact on the defensive end....
uhh :{

I really dont trust him in the playoffs guys...mark my words
