are you not taking humalog, or regular? i am on lantus, 6'2 180 pounds, and not very active, take 22 units in the morning and 16 units at night, i take 1 unit of humalog per 15 grams of carbs i eat and or per 30 points my blood sugar is over my "goal" of 140.Originally Posted by sladewilson
i think its cause i eat randomly , i dont eat the same thing everyday, when i was on novolin 70/30 an regular, i took 20 units in the am an used to get low blood sugars everyday at around 11 - 1130Originally Posted by AusZero
Talk to your doctor about playing around with your dosages. I take 24 units of Lantus before bed the take about 10 units of humalog (same thing as novalog) before every meal. It seems to me that 12 units of lantus is a pretty small dosage and im surprised that you dont take any mid day novalog. Do you get post lunch highs? Obviously I dont know your diet and that can be a huge factor too.

hoop at night? when do you hoop, you have to think that your exercise will affect your BGL about 6 or so hours later. adjust 2-4 unites of lantus accordingly. think about 30 minutes of workout equaling to 15 grams of carbsOriginally Posted by sladewilson
