Diabeticsc

you can play with the units yourself just monitor your blood sugar levels. up the lantus and use the novalog to compensate for carbs and sugars whenever you eat a meal.

i think its cause i eat randomly , i dont eat the same thing everyday, when i was on novolin 70/30 an regular, i took 20 units in the am an used to get low blood sugars everyday at around 11 - 1130
are you not taking humalog, or regular? i am on lantus, 6'2 180 pounds, and not very active, take 22 units in the morning and 16 units at night, i take 1 unit of humalog per 15 grams of carbs i eat and or per 30 points my blood sugar is over my "goal" of 140.

try it out, been doing it for years.

but please talk with your doctor.

hoop at night? when do you hoop, you have to think that your exercise will affect your BGL about 6 or so hours later. adjust 2-4 unites of lantus accordingly. think about 30 minutes of workout equaling to 15 grams of carbs
