Africa must wake up, the sleeping sons of Jacob for what tomorrow may bring
May a better day come, yesterday we were Kings can you tell me young ones
Who are we today

Morning to you man, mornin' to you love.

Co-sign. One of the few albums I can listen all the way through. Definitely a classic.

Saw them at Coachella, it was

Nas was spitting the entire album.

For me, when you can sing like that and put the amazing lyricism together like Damian did you stand out more. To each his own though.

Yeah, that's the thing tho. This album wasnt aiming to be an album that was the perfect unision of hip hop and reggae. Majority of the beats and the song format kinda cater to what Damien does and since he sings and the content of it, he was able to kinda express himself and effect the songs more if that makes any sense. Nas definitely does his thing lyrically and is as usual potent with his content he would've had to be damn near perfect in his prime on every track for things to balance out.

i understand that. but NTers act like Nas was spitting wack verses.

Nas verse on Leaders is as dope as anything anyone has spit in a while.

i look at is the perfect blend of 2 genres rather than who outshined the other.

Word..another thing to consider is the fact that Damian probably produced like 95% percent of the album.

word.

They didnt even do a good job promoting it, but the world wide tour they were on was a good idea. Damien held this album down buzz wise because Nas didnt have any buzz after Untitled.

which is a mother ++!# in shame considering how great that lp was
