while i can understand the thinking behind this, it's been refuted. my mom who was also a sceptic has sniffed my jeans after they had been in the freezer for about 5 days was shocked to find no trace of an odor. You all have jeans; you all have freezers; if you don't believe me just try it out for yourself. and you don't have to use jeans per-sue; maybe a t shirt? but be sure it's for an extended period of time in a ziplock bag.

lol. yeah. no thanks. my mom would punch me in the face if she found my dirty clothing in her freezer.
but hey if it works, and you're sure you don't smell, all the power to you.

I wash my jeans depending on their type and wear. There are certain that are meant to be fitted and after a certain of wear they loosen up so I wash them. Also if you have a all on the move day sweat does transfer to you Jean legs, especially during hot weather or outting environments. Thats a mandatory wash after that wear.

why do you keep insulting people that go about things differently than you? grow up. if you don't agree with it, then so be it. no need to bash something that can't comprehend.

its a discussion forum, where people have opposing views, if u cant take the heat get your smelly +%@ out the kitchen

Dudes was they jeans after every wash?!?!? The hell yall doing.. playing backyard football with Brett Favre and some wranglers???

I rarely wash my jeans... they don't smell at all.. only time I'll wash them is if they get a noticeable stain on em

Im going out and walking a few places when I wear jeans... Im not sweating all in them... and if I do sweat that will just cause my boxers to be dirty.. and I wash those after every wear of course

But yall them dudes with them faded black jeans at the bar I guess.....

I dont think anybody in this thread said they wash their jeans after every wear

its understandable to wear your jeans a few times without washing

but you dudes saying you NEVER wash your jeans is just point blank period nasty

and then to make it worse people are saying dumb #%$$ like ''my legs dont sweat'' sweat is not the only thing that omits odor

im done though, ill leave you nasty dudes alone, i was just bored at work

So people say they don't wash their jeans very often...whats very often.

I wear my jeans out to a bar and il get beer spilled on me...taco bell sauce on me in my drunken stuper.  Sweat in my sleep because i passed out in my clothes under blankets.

I think that means they need to be washed.

I prob wash my jeans after every 4 wears or so.  But if i go out on Friday or Saturday there is a 80% chance they are gonna need to be washed the next day.

LOL.....

all that you have to do is:
1. fill the tub with hot water.
2. add a capful or two of dr. Bronners (or Woolite Dark).
3. agitate
4. let sit for 10 minutes.

voila.

5. HANG DRY

indigo loss will be minimal on quality denim.

washing can range from once/twice a month to once every 6 months.

me personally, I will wash/soak with the instructions above once every couple months, HOWEVER, if I spill something onto them or if they were to (they havent yet) start to get nasty, the above method can be done much more frequently, and QUALITY denim will still maintain much of the color and rigidness.

the KEY is drying.
you dont throw them in the dryer!

strictly hang dry. thats how most of you are sabotaging your denim. drying it in the dryer will kill the color, texture, etc.

if you use the instructions above, QUALITY denim will return to a rigid state, close to how the raw denim was when you first copped.

I wear Flat Head, Levi LVC, Double Volante denim and my method works great, no matter if you wash monthly or bi-yearly.

Sleeping (in your bed under covers) on your clothes that's been worn out to town or inside a club is just plain nasty.  I don't care how drunk I get, I need to change and wash up after a night of partying.

I honestly do not wash my jeans very often.  I hang them outside on a clothes line to air out but I do not spend 170+ on Nudie/APC to throw them in the washer and the color to come completely out.  Thats just ME though

seriously.. there is no reason this damn thread is 8+ pages long..

alot of insecure dudes nitpicking things they dont understand/agreed with.

btw, i have 2 pairs of quality demin.. both almost a year old & have yet to be washed.. do i stink? according to alot of people, no.. so who cares, really? (i donate my denim before even thinking about washing & wearing them again.)

slacks, khakis, etc.. all hit the washer after a couple of wears.
