Fort Huachuca? Some of you clowns and your geographic opinions. LOL
I'm from NY (Flatbush) and I'm in AZ now (just outside of scottsdale) because of work.
Nothing is New York. Plain and simple. You have 3 million people right off the ocean and it's been around since before the declaration of independence was signed.
Get off the high horse. NY and LA are outliers in a country that has pockets of greatness.
If you like to fish or hunt, do you care more about NY or does Washington ring your bell....?
I hate most of AZ but you know what I do like, quietness and the ability to raise my kid in an upscale environment. This isn't the Wild Wild west the news makes it out to be. There are just as many crazy people here as the Q train I take back home.
AZ has lots of flaws and while I maintain a NY residence it's always what you make of it.
I can tell you for those that knock it, at a certain price point, not only do people move but organizations as well.
AZ has a foundation on it, and most people don't realize who don't read into it, that the DOD has this state on lock.
Between the college system and the Air Force bases that pump 2 billion + annually, my properties are doing just fine and as the real estate market continues to do well across the nation, more and more snow birds come here to retire. That equals a higher price for properties.
Scottadale is where old money is. It'll always be that way and it's a great place to live.
While I plan to move back to NY in the next few years, those wondering if it's a nice place should simply book that flight and take a trip.
