I witnessed that yesterday at the thrift store. I was buying some cd’s and the kid at the register was liking my selection. He then started telling me how he recently picked up a bunch of records of the same artists I had. He said he likes records better than compact discs but didn’t give a reason why. I personally prefer cd’s because they take up less space and the quality of sound is better.

lol Because he heard someone else say. If the music was recorded digitally, it’s really a big *** CD. With that being said, the old hifi recorded stuff does really sound like you’re in the studio with them.

Threw away my entire CD collection sometime last year and now I'm starting to regret it. Thinking about starting over or collecting cassette tapes instead.

Wouldn’t you need a top of the line record player to get that sound out of the record though? I hear there are some new “cheap” players that can actually ruin records.

I’ve always had one of my parents complain and get things back for me mainly because they paid for it. They didn’t let anything slide back then.

I once had a discman taken away in HS because I took it out a minute or two before class was over. I was so heated, teacher wanted me to come with parents to pick it up, well long story short we had a sub few days later and I got them to give it back hahaha. I remember the original teacher being a bit annoyed but think she secretly thought it was a clever way of getting it back lol.

Awh man you should of kept them in the vault forever. I remember when I was really young and CD's were the new big thing I was still fumbling around with the cassette tapes and vinyl on my fathers system.
