Donald Trump is running for president

It looks like Carson is getting phased out of the picture, now we just gotta focus on Trump.....a lot of Republicans are treating him like that drunk Uncle you can't invite to anything. :lol  Honestly at this point, anyone except those two will do.

I was just about to ask if Carson is dead. :lol Ain't heard a peep from him in awhile.
Oh and dont forget Cruz on your list of crazies. Trump may be loud, but Cruz isn't far behind on the looney scale

This will be the first time I ever vote. I didn't vote in the past 2 elections due to it always being clear that Obama would end up winning (I would've voted for him anyway) but this time I'm seriously afraid that Trump has a chance of being elected. It's common knowledge that the average American is an illiterate racist paranoid hick, and Trump is saying all the right things to appeal to them. McCain and Romney weren't ignorant or fear mongering enough to gather enough of that population's support to win, hence all these people coming out with comments like "Trump is a breath of fresh air" :x

A broken clock is right twice a day.
I agree with this so much I thought about qualifying my statement with it in my original post.

That being said, why is Trump able to say what he says? Part of the reason I feel is we are seeing a retread of the silent majority we saw with Nixon in the 60's. White, wealthy suburbanites agree with what he is saying, and while this might not necessarily be a surprise to anyone, it does make it quite difficult to write it off as conjecture. Also, this should signify a MAJOR need for campaign finance reform. Why is it that it takes a person who wants to keep muslim's out of the country to comment on the very suffering Muslim's have endured for decades in the Middle East?

Also, as laughable as a majority of Trump's stances are, I hope you guys are as critical on Mrs. Clinton's short comings.

IMO Trump can say all the outrageous stuff he says because he has no dambs + zero accountability. And when proven wrong (ie. Muslims in NJ), he just counterattacks with "they're out to get me". It's like arguing with a teenager. And none of this hurts his numbers because his supporters eat it up like pie.

Hilary been off my radar. No idea what's going on with her or her platform, meh.

You think that is the average US citizen??????

You think that is the average US citizen??????
Do I think that describes most white Americans outside of the major West/East Coast cities in the US? Yes. Of course they can read and write, but they're generally uneducated about everything going on in the world, and that is exactly the population Trump is attracting with all his baseless nonsense . I'm half white, but go ahead and report me if you want, I don't care. Millions of white Americans throughout the country are exposing themselves by supporting Trump and you're asking this question :lol

Who's getting your vote next year?

I've never voted, but this debacle may very well entice me. Still, I don't believe in any of the candidates.

I support Bernie, I even donated money towards his campaign.

Clinton I will happily vote for over any of the GOP candiates. She is kinda shadey, but atleast she has signaled a lot in the past she cares amount people at the bottom and can be persuaded left on many issues. She is a iberal that as gotten more liberal as time as gone on. That is not as a big o red flag to me as it is to others

Ran Paul has some good stances on a few issues. But this economic plan is flat out horrible, and will hurt the poor and working poor greatly. And he surrounds himself with an uncomfortable amount of racist, and blow the bigot dog whistle to much to take seriously. On social isses he seems just as bad as the rest.

Bernie plans do seem pie it the sky, but they're really not. He is the only candidate that knows that the system is just not equitable enough. And it is time America addresses that issue.

I research a lot to pick candiates, but I'm big on fairness in the system. So after researching candiates, I make my decision under the "veil of ignorance"

Meaning I imagine myself underborn, not in this world yet. And I ask myself "tommorw you could be born as anything, or end up as anything; a poor black kid in the inner city, a rich white kid from the suburbs, a single mother that happens to be latina, or a first generation asian immigrant, a middle class handicapped middle eastern guy, or a transgender person,...etc". I literraly think of as many combos that I can

I could be, or end up being anything. So which candiates world would I want to live in, which will make it most fair for me to live a decent life, no matter what I am.

And that answer to that question Bernie Sanders, without a doubt.

Do you realize how close Obama was to losing?

In a couple of states he only won by thousands of votes.

Whenever Paul Ryan or any of these establishment clowns speak about against Trump they dont realize they only making him hotter. The man went too far I agree but he's speaking to his base. They agree with the man and all of these fools look out of touch with their own party. He doesn't need their money or endorsements so they need to shut the hell up.

Close to losing what? The election was called at like 11pm in 2008 and it was decided by almost 10pm in 2012.

Close elections aren't called 2 hours after the last polls close.

Under what scenario does Mitt Romney get to 270 electoral votes? Obama could have lost Florida and Ohio and still would have been President.

Same for John McCain

But Trump said his ideas were no worse than those of then-President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who oversaw the internment of more than 110,000 people in U.S. government camps after Japanese forces bombed Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.

"What I'm doing is no different than FDR," Trump said on ABC's "Good Morning America" program.

:| :| :| :| :| as if the forced internment of American citizens by their own government was justifiable :|

uhhh, trump is only running to help Hillary tho ( for the kickback of course)
He might be authentic in his views but they are all for naught. He just here to distract and
add more confusion to the gop

Also, Texas in going to be a swing state soon. When that happens, its a game changer for Republicans.

Saw somewhere that said Trump is the YouTube and Yahoo comment section in live form, and I couldn't agree more. This guy's a scum and it's a shame he has supporters. He's a straight up parody and people are legit backing him.

The Belgian news here did another segment about Trump. People here are already outraged at Trump's actions and his candidacy.

The UK even started a petition to ban Trump from entering their country

Where were you in late 07-09? After the surge we had the situation in Iraq stabilized. The Iraq war was won.

We then had a choice-either leave some troops behind to keep the situation stabilized, or totally pull out. We pulled out. ISIS is taking over. ISIS is comprised of the remnants of Al Qaeda, and they were able to fill the leadership vacuum when we left.

No Iraq was not won. It is a failure. ISIS was created as a consequence of the invasion of Iraq when Saddam Hussein was toppled. Ex-Iraqi troops and officials who had posts during his reign and are now jobless were recruited to ISIS, extremists and other foreigners who despised America for invading, ex-convicts and poor men also saw ISIS as appealing to join.

It is your homeboy Bush who did this. Not Obama. Obama had to come in and deal with his mess.
