Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Income is a pretty touchy subject even among close friends. I never understood this until I started working in a professional setting. I do share my income with other friends in the same field though to ensure our salaries are within range.

Keep in mind, everyone has different lifestyle. Anyone can become rich if they penny pinch enough but where's the fun in that. There is a book called "The Millionaire Next Door" that I read many years ago that talked about this. I studied hard, I work hard so I can have an income that supports the lifestyle I like. Just my 2 cents.

Haha, I'm the opposite way.

I couldn't care less about sharing with you guys because I'll never meet you guys :p (minus Wis and some of my real-life friends who participate on NT).

I don't mind personally, especially with it being education especially since the disparity is so large depending in which state you teach.

We should have a friendly competition in here to see who can amass the largest net worth by the time they're 30.

Who's in?

Loser buys everyone a tie bar (I know, not that $, but what do you expect if they lost a net worth contest? :p )

We'll be waiting on this contest for awhile :lol

Being that I'm turning 30 in December and work security, I may take home about 12,000 for the rest of the year. Lol

Question: Should a knit tie (with the squared end) reach the belt when tied?

A LOT of times, I've seen them tied much shorter. My knit ties are short compared to my regular ties.
Man, I don't even follow this rule anymore.

I have some longer ties that would need a full Windsor to hit my belt line. However, with a half Windsor it's quite long. I just tuck the end of the tie into my trousers.

My neck circumference is small so I don't really have ties that are short. Even if I do, I'd rock the look with high water trousers.

Is there a guide on distinguishing fake dress shoes from real ones? I'm sure some of the higher end ones like Edward Green and John Lobb get faked

I'm a UK6 man :lol
Most retailers don't carry my size so I'd have to special order and wait a couple of months and I'm too impatient.

Copped a pair of John Lobb William dub monks off a guy on ebay. Dude has over 8500 feedback so i should be fine. Worst case scenario I'd have to open a dispute on paypal

This is a little of topic, but i hope tumblr isn't ruined now that yahoo has purchased it. I love looking at menswear on that platform. I hope it goes unchanged.

I can't imagine that it will change much, if at all.

It's layout is a major reason for it's success, so I doubt it.

Nice. I love John Lobb shoes, just don't have enough disposable income to justify dropping that much chedda for my feet :lol

Pics when they arrive!

Tumblr was engenius. A lot of folks were wondering how they made money early on since there were no ads or banners. However, to display one of those sponsored feeds is very $$$$. It's the new channel of marketing. Lots of people make a Tumblr page because it gives them a sense of fulfillment like they designed their own site. They keep coming back to add friends and see how many followers they have.

Yahoo is horrible though. I have an email account made from back in 2001 and I have a headache everytime I check in.

How does Allen Edmonds fit say compared to Ferragamo?
What lasts are you referring to?

Overkill yes, but for an event or photoshoot its nice. Obviously not something you'd wear more than a handful of times, maybe just once even.

I'm gradually starting to accept a little bit of camo in wardrobe but doesn't this seem like overkill??
It was planned.

I'm going to order the jacket this week and I have the trousers already. I only plan on wearing the full suit for some LOL pictures. They will definitely be used as separates.

I got the Ruff Ryders camo bucket cap ready. Will cruise around in a beach cruiser playing the Ruff Ryders Anthem :hat
