My predictions for the final 9 qualifying spots...

-New Zealand
-Uruguay
-Russia
-Ukraine
-France
-Portugal
-Cameroon
-Tunisia
-Algeria

Ukraine/Greece, France/Ireland and Portugal/Bosnia should be interesting.

Ukraine and Greece are pretty evenly matched.

France has an abundance of talent but Ireland are legit and they usually give European heavyweights some trouble. France's coach Raymond Domenech is amoron who may screw things up for France.

I thought that Portugal would walk over Bosnia-Herzegovina but C. Ronaldo will miss both matches which should make things much more difficult for Portugal.

The following matches are the 1st of 2 legs:
Uruguay @ Costa Rica
Slovenia @ Russia
Ukraine @ Greece
France @ Ireland
Bosnia @ Portugal

These play tomorrow (saturday) and then wednesday right? 14th and 18th i think i remember seeing. I think all of these could literally go either way, Idon't see all that much separation in any of these matches. I mean obviously like you said France and Portugal on paper seem like heavy favorites, but Ithink Bosnia is really tough and Ireland is just like you said, a real pain for european hw's.

I really think the Greece/Ukraine matches could be the sleepers of this list though - I'm really interested to see how that plays out.

Should be fun to see.

Nigeria up 2-1 .. Mozambique tied with Tunisia..

It could happen!!!

3-2 Nigeria ... Mozambique beating tunisia .. UH OPHJ!!:J!K!LK

Wow, huge choke job by Tunisia and a strong effort by the Nigerians.

Nigeria is back in the World Cup for the first time since 2002.

don't reallly want to make a new thread for this, but USMNT is playing a friendly against Slovakia right now on FSC.

@ Maradona's Gabriel Heinze fetish. Why the #$+% does he keepstarting this bum?

In other news...

Russia beat Slovenia at home 2-1.

Ukraine managed a 0-0 tie @ Greece

The second legs will be played on Wednesday.

Nigeria miraculously qualified after a 3-2 win @ Kenya and Tunisia losing @ Mozambique.

Cameroon qualified after a 2-0 win at Morocco. Webo and Eto'o both scored.

Egypt beat Algeria 2-0 at home. Both teams are tied with 13 pts and a +5 GD so they'll play a playoff match in a neutral venue on Wednesday.

Can't decide what to watch... Portugal or France...

And I just noticed this... whats with France's super-tight kits?

Just started getting into football since I've been here in Dublin, Ireland. Seems like the whole city is buzzing over this game.

Uruguay won 1-0. They should easily seal the deal on Wednesday.

France win on a lucky goal by Anelka. Typical under Domenech
