I still got my pair stashed in a box somewhere. I got an interesting story to go along with mine too. A friend sold them to me back in high school for$40...that's right forty dollars lol. That next summer I let a friend borrow them and that was a mistake cause his feet were too big and they came backbeat. But I'm planning to restore them, tried to seaglow them a few months back. But yes these are sweet, definitely in the top 5 best jays EVER.

It's funny a CG XI thread was born I got an ironic story as it were
1st of all, the original RD was indeed chaotic in my city as well. I was somewhat new to shoe collecting and even newer to having to line up and wait to spendmy hard-earned money. By the time March 2K1 came around I had been working for four years all through high school and buying all my Air Maxes and Jays with myown money, most of the time spending my entire paychecc for two weeks on some new Jordans.
So I'm late on the CG RD and get to the mall while it's still dark. Didn't matter, there must have been some sort of C.I.A. pixie stix in the aircuz even in my somewhat un-hypeish city we clowned at the mall when they opened. People crushing each other to squeeze through the mall doors, running throughthe empty thoroughfares like it was Dawn of the Dead, etc. and I'm right there but.... I didn't get them people were cheating and bacc then they letyou buy multiple pairs so this reseller that went to rival high school (white-boy Lane
) and his grandma always gave him stupid staccs bought like a FSR and then all therest so I left empty-handed that Saturday morning.
Monday morning, I'm dashing around school $160 in my hand trying to get it in. Thanks to one of my homies that hooped (shout-out J. Harrington, stillgood-looks cuz) he sold me his size 11 off his feet in third hour and all was well....
Now fast-forward almost ten years to this summer. I'm broke with no job, I got 3 kids, my own house, my SUV just got repoed I mean its literally ALL BAD(except for being alive and free
)
I'm tryna dump Jays locally for quicc cash to keep my head above water, and one day the CG XI took the long walk to a pretty good friend of mine for $90
(no OG box, laces, card)
Just yesterday I'm looking/pricing a DS size 10.5 or 11 and I'm like "I've got to get my XIs bacc from cuz before he wreccs them". I meanthey're like a 7/10 and honestly kinda beat, yellowed as you can imagine and a small tear in the PL at the front of the right shoe but I'm sure theguys that have been in this for awhile can appreciate sentimentality for the Jays you had BEFORE you were serious, like all the way in with this collecting....
I gave him my midnight navy/met. silver/white XX3 low with no box or Jordan laces and brought my babies home
Hoping for a few more sunny days to attempt to SeaGlow or it might just wait til next summer. In any case, I'm NEVER getting rid of those XI's againuntil I have a DS size 10.5 or 11 in my possession
EDIT: Top 5 Jordan of all time and also looking for the accessories if anyone has them (OG box, laces, card, insoles cuz I got them bacc stripped and had toput Concord insoles in them)

I'm one of the few who just never liked the cool grey colorway. I've never liked it on any model and still don't to this day. It just doesn'tappeal to me like a white, black, red, or even a blue colorway does. No hate; just my opinion. To each his own I guess. That's just one less crazy releasei have to worry about.

I have a pair of 11's that look great, the only thing is the bottom turned yellow.I need a sz.10 they are to big for me actually only wore them maybe 6times.

Great shoe. Still have mine in a size 9.5. I've worn them a few times so they are not quite DS, but pretty close. I was actually thinking of breaking themout recently.
