I can't see why it wouldn't. He had guys like H2O, Ward, Childs, Larry Johnson, Mark Jackson, Glen Rice, Othella Harrington, John Wallace, Rick Brunson, etc playing stellar D for those old Knick teams. Those guys weren't exactly defensive specialists. His second year in Houston, he had guys like Scott Padgett, Ryan Bowen, Juwan Howard, Mo Taylor, Weatherspoon.... Omg, I can't even believe the Rockets did well with those players. I'm not@ their overall game. But on D, every single player I listed, was only as good as average.
JVG would do great in T.O.
Moon, JO, Bosh, Parker, and Calderon are all capable defensive players.

I know if you bring in a new coach this year there is not enough time to put in a system and I also know we have no idea how jay triano will be as a HEAD coach in the NBA. He could end up being a good coach but I have know confidence in him helping us make the playoffs this year.
That said I look forward to seeing how he deals with the rotation.
Ah there he is. I been waiting for you to reply... get your damn phone back!Originally Posted by vcisking

I honestly dont think this is an overreaction. He needed to go. There was no improvement from last year, and considering the deal that was madefor JO, we should be much better, and our record doesnt show it.Originally Posted by outacontrol music
Overreaction...
It's not like this team is stacked.
Who is their 15-20 ppg wingman?
Also, I wonder if Chris Bosh had a part to play in this firing. He has shown several signs of frustration over the past 3 weeks.
Ive noticed the same thing too. I havent seen Bosh so mad over the past few weeks. Usually dude is intense on the court, but off the court he doesnt takethings out on anybody. Over the past while, hes completely ignored Calderon (made friends with him during the fourth Q of the Laker game though(Yes,vcisking, we discussed this, it wasnt Vince like)), and last night was just visibly frustrated...
