No body can provide a verifiable news source because it does not exist. I've read the same thing so many times and even looked up many of these links. They lead to small time blogs and tabloids "reporting on reports". The mainstream press would have reported this story if there was even an ounce of fact in it, but you will not find it anywhere on CNN, NY Times, even TMZ.

I never said he was innocent of all wrongdoing. There is certainly something wrong with an adult giving children alcohol and sleeping in the same bed with them. What I'm saying is that its wrong to demonize him for things that he may have thought of as normal, especially considering his childhood and the disgusting things he was subjected and conditioned to. Without a doubt, the accusers lied about aspects of the story. How far those lies go is up for you to decide. That's not to say that MJ was a great or even decent person. But its wrong to discredit his legacy and the good he did for the world without also acknowledging the good with the bad.

Not sure you know the meaning of "recant". When you change your story, you're rejecting the prior story. So yes, that is recanting.

Bruh....That article is an account from the trial in 2005 and thats not the accuser, its his brother. He also didnt recant anything, he said he was nervous and some of the details got mixed up. The article also clearly states accounts of MJ giving wine and vodka to childeren.

Changing your story is recanting. And that piece of the article is drawing attention to the fact that in the original story, MJ was giving wine to the kids. After the recanting, it changed to vodka. The number of molestations and the circumstances also changed a number of times throughout the trial, which is mentioned in this article.

Reading is fundamental. Please read and understand the article before drawing conclusions about it.

As far as the pedo talk, still aint no proof or evidence that MJ did anything to children. Just a bunch of accusers trying to get a come up, many of which did. Come back with solid evidence that these alleged events in fact went down and then maybe you'd have some modicum of credibility.

Ima just say this. Regarding the 93 case, why settle and give the parents/family hush money if your 100% innocent?

I can get a celeb or their bodyguard beating someone up in a club or accidentally running a person over or something and giving them hush money to make the thing go away.

But child molestation is a pretty damning thing to be accused of. Those are the type of accusations you don't make playing around and if you didn't do them, you want your name to be cleared completely. He should've fought that and sued the family for slander and/or defamation of character so that no other family would ever get the same idea if he was 100% innocent. Perhaps it may have been a convience for him to settle, but with serious accusations like that you would think someone would fight that all the way if they were innocent.

I do find it funny how most people who have praised and glorified the man over these past 5 years were clowning and mocking him when he was alive.

Regarding the kids though. Since he didn't molest any kids, would you be ok with letting your kids stay over at his house unsupervised? I mean he didn't do it and was just a big kid so there should be nothing wrong right?

^^ I would imagine settling out of court would be cheaper than lawyer/court fees and the money he would've missed out on from touring since he would constantly be in court trying to defend his name. No one is saying Mike wasn't a weird cat but I don't think pedo and molester was one of his hobbies.

It was easy to settle the case because:

A) It wasn't Mike's money. His insurance company put up the money. They, along with his closest advisors, legal team and record company, pressed him to settle and put it all behind him. He was willing to take his accusers to court and prove it was no more than an extortion attempt.

B) The terms of the settlement clearly stated no wrongdoing on MJ's part. That is something all parties involved had to sign off on, and they did. The attitude of his people was that if you give these people what they want ($$), they'll leave you alone.

His accuser's father was secretly taped during a phone convo, saying there was "no way I can lose" (with molestation claims), and if he goes through with it, "Michaels career is finished". It would be inadmissible in court, however. It's also important to note that the accuser emancipated himself from his father not long after the settlement, and less than a month after MJ's death, Evan Chandler (accuser's father) committed suicide.


Unfortunate that he had to live under such a black cloud for the last couple decades of his life. RIP MJ.

Sometimes money isn't the end all be all.

If it was something petty, by all means just pay it off and make it go away.

You don't play around with child molestations accusations. That type of stuff can destroy a persons life just by being accused or associated with it.

Maybe its just my opinion but I wouldn't give a penny of settlement money on accusations that damming and hurtful if I was innocent. Id get my name cleared and legally make an example of the accusers family so that no one would ever try to pull such a thing again.
